Aiden's sleep was tormented by recurring nightmares.

In those nightmares, he was locked up inside a dark and humid prison cell. Vampires came every day to take his blood forcefully.

In the beginning, he did his best to stay brave. He did not want to grant his captors the perverse joy of witnessing his suffering.

But then, slowly, his psyche started to crumble along with the hope of ever being saved.

Inside the dungeon, it was unclear how many days and nights had passed. The only thing that kept Aiden sane was his endless longing for Ryan.

The sound of something breaking roused Aiden from his light sleep, followed by Liam's panicked "Ahhh!!!"

Aiden blinked twice and stared at the white ceiling above his head. He turned his head slightly to the sides to take in the entire room.

Where was he?

An intravenous line was attached to the hole in his arm, feeding him with blood.

"Liam," he called with a hoarse voice. His throat was so dry.
