Yet, that didn't stop the hunger and eagerness in her to patch things up with him, because regardless of their failed relationship, Giovanni was the only man who loved her for who she is, but that's where he was mistaken.

She doesn't even know, if she can't find out what exactly made her special, how then could she stay with Giovanni, when she's fucked up in the head, and Giovanni wanted her to be normal, a full housewife for him when that's not the life she wanted.
