'. . . . . . That's weird. I think it said two rows of red means pregnancy.'
Kalia Takskate was in a daze.
Thinking about it, she once again looked down at the kit that was in her hand.
Her hand held a kit with a test paper. Kalia carefully read the letters behind it.
[Two red lines appear over the white space behind the test paper, pregnancy, one line, and you're not pregnant.]
She looked at the two clear lines on the test paper and the letters behind the kit several times alternatively . . . .
Soon she mumbled one word that clearly indicated the situation, as it unfolded before her eyes.
". . . . . . Pregnant?"
The test paper she was holding fell flat onto the floor. She clasped her slowly trembling fist and then opened it.
She looked up at the sky for a moment.
It was a mansion that was granted directly by the Emperor in recognition of the services she had done in the war over the past seven years.
The palatial chandeliers shimmered in the sunlight.
With her eyes glistening, she closed her eyes for a moment and took a deep breath.
'Whoo, ha. Whoooooooo.'
And looked at the paper that had fallen on the floor again.
It was obvious.
Two red lines were so vivid and clear, you wouldn't even be able erase them.
". . . . Oh my God."
'I'm pregnant? . . .'
The first emotion to fill her, besides embarrassment at the moment, was recognized as joy.
"A baby!"
Kalia leapt out of her seat, unaware of her own actions.
When she breathed in, her lungs swelled and expanded rapidly.
The ticklish feeling had spread all over the body as if it were hugged in sweet cotton candy.
It felt dizzy, as if someone had hit her head hard with a hammer. At the same time, her heart beat fast . . . .
All of this nonsense caused both wonder and excitement.
'. . . . . . A real baby? In here? There's a baby growing inside this?'
She reached out her trembling hand and stroked the slim, solid belly.
Her worn fingertips were shaking on her abdomen.
'Oh my God, a baby . . . . . . . . . I have a baby!'
Most female knights were infertile.
All those days that were full of rigorous training, the violent confrontations between men and women, and the stressful running through the bloody battlefield weakened the uterus's function.
To that extent, the Knights of the Rojas Empire rose to fame because they, regardless of sex or gender, trained without preserving their bodies.
