บท 40: Fouty

Jake sat on his couch, his mind reeling with thoughts. Ava was right, Alexander Sabastine was actually untouchable.

All these while he thought that Ava was trying to prevent him from figuring out who the bidder was, but now that he had found out who the bidder was, he instantly regretted telling Smith about it.

"Dam it... I am such an idiot." Jake said to himself. He could already tell the end point of his actions. Smith was not going to let a big prey like Alexander Sabastine skip through his fingers.

While Jake was seeing an untouchable man, Smith was seeing a big prey that could fetch him hundreds of millions, and billions.

"I have to find a way to get myself out of this mess. Ava was right; this man was untouchable. With his connection and wealth, it's only a matter of time before he finds us and has us arrested if we try to extort from him." Jake said to himself.
