It was boring. That was the only way to describe how the month was spent by Fenrir and Lucas. Lucas spent the entire month basically recovering. He spent most of his time in the lab, and taking all of the antidotes.
He had more than twenty poisons in his body, and to null them all, he had to take an antidote per day, and sometimes, he had to take more quantities because there was some poison that could not be expelled.
Oh yes, the poison had to be expelled. That was the worst point of this all. Lucas did not have an easy time just recovering. The body had to remove all of the poison from the body itself. The 'antidote' only helped the body combat the weakening for a while, and during that time, the body itself could start attacking the poison and effectively expel it from the body. Lucas was coughing blood all the time, and he literally had a plastic bag next to him all the time for the exact purpose.
It was quite repulsing, sitting on a couch with a bag of blood next to him.
Along with playing a LOT of video games, the basic dream lifestyle of many people(You know who I am talking to), he also kept his fitness up. He did not leave the bunker, but the bunker itself was very prepared for this situation, as he had his own gym inside. He visited it regularly. It certainly paid off. He had a quite muscled body before, and he maintained it very well despite his very unhealthy lifestyle.
Now, it was down to his last few antidotes left. He was sitting next to the company, looking through a few charts. As usual, Fenrir was grumbling.
"Let's get out of this hell hole. This feels like Odin put you to the test to torture me. Why are you doing this to me? I shouldn't have woken up so early. I should have waited for the good part. Oh god, please save me.", he said. "Even Odin can take me as long as it releases me from this hell."
"Shut up. It's the last few days. Why are you so stubborn? I don't get it. How did you not like a single god damn movie or series? I don't get it. What is with you old fogeys? You guys don't have any taste.", Lucas retorted.
"Old fogies? You are calling me an old fogie? How dare you? I am the youth, the next generation.", Fenrir bellowed.
"The next generation? Maybe you could have said that a few thousand years ago, but now? Nada.", Lucas said as he slid his chair to the freezer. He got up and took out a blue coloured liquid. It was a little dense. Lucas looked at it closely.
"Does this feel a little off to you? How does it smell?", Lucas asked Fenrir.
"I don't care. Just get this over with.", Fenrir shouted.
"Fine, fine. Just shut up. It's almost over.", Lucas sighed as he took a syringe. Loading up the bottle, he took it to his arm. He pressed it a little, but the moment even a little drop went into his skin, he dropped the test tube. The blue liquid fell onto the ground and the literal concrete sizzled. The blue liquid corroded the contract.
Lucas fell back as he growled.
"I asked you if there was something wrong, and you said you don't care. Imagine what would have happened if that actually went into my body! I would have lost my arm.", he snarled.
"Oh please, it's just an arm. Why are you making a mountain out of an ant hill? Come on. What now? Are we going to have to stay coupled up here for more time? You are a coward! Just fight them. You are Lucas! My host! The red wolf. When you inherited that title, I thought you were going to do it proud. You are bringing shame to it. Come on, let's just go out and kill people.", Fenrir bellowed. Lucas clutched his ears, because of how loudly Fenrir was shouting.
"Do you think that I want to stay here? I want to go out and satisfy my quota too. One more antidote and I will be going all out. I need to be in tip top shape if I want to go against an enemy that I don't even know about.", Lucas sighed.
