The question caught her unaware, but Rachel straightened up and wiped her wet cheeks. She let her hoarse voice flame the tension around them when she tried to make it sound as if it wasn't her fault.

"I was waiting for my parents to come and pick me up. Scott allowed it, so do you still want to put the blame on me?" She said in a condescending tone. The bitterness inside her heart was overflowing that she couldn't stop her mouth from uttering, "Instead of defending me as a fellow Alpha, you took a Beta's side and attacked me all around!"

Gracia clenched her fingers tight, really at the verge of landing a hard slap on Rachel's face. But she held back and heaved a deep sigh, thinking that she might've figured out the reason behind Rachel's deep hatred towards Ryley.
