Zina barely reached the door when a wall of a man was blocking her from taking any further step forward. Daemon's eyes were narrowed at her into slits, and something brewed like a storm within them.

"What do you want?" He gritted as if he was dragged to a party he didn't want to sit out.

A beautiful question, but try as Zina may, the more she tried to find a particular answer to it, the more she came up with heaps and heaps of them.

She wanted a lot of things, and Daemon could only give her so little. Her time with the WolfKnights had taught her that rather than settle for less, she should settle for absolutely nothing.
