บท 64: Day 4
Day 4 of the grand magic games.
1st: Infinity Guild with 42 points
2nd: Shadow Garden with 34 points
3rd: Fairy Tail Team A With 31.
4th: Fairy Tail Team B 30 points
5th: Mermaid Heel with 25
6th: Sabertooth with 23
7th: Lamia Scale With 19
8th: Blue Pegasus With 15
The day 4 game was called Flag. For this game, Ji Ning stepped forward. Erza went up again, with Cana. from the shadow garden side, Alpha stepped forward.
the game was simple, it was Capture the Flag. there was a total of 8 flags, one flag per person, one to find their flag, and finding their flag would reward them with one point. and for each other flag, they gain, it's another point.
furthermore, one would lose a point if they don't have their flag, giving them -1. if by chance there is a tie between two parties. the tie would be grown in a 1 v 1.
Ji Ning gound himself within a town. he looked around for a moment before jumping into the sky, a sword appearing under his feet before he flew off, while his spiritual sense spread out, searching for a flag.
'the match is 30 minutes. That means finding it and protecting it. Cana is there, she could use her card magic to find Ji Ning's flag, Erza and Alpha seem to be going to team up... what deal did those two parties make.' Ling Han thought while looking at the sight in front of him, before turning towards Mavis, who was busy cheating, talking to Cana, Erza, and Alpha.
I didn't care, with us still being in the lead, we just needed to make sure we said there. this meant Alpha couldn't win, and Fairy Tail Team B couldn't win.
Ji Ning who was flying forward suddenly looked at the sky and saw a card shooting into the cry before it exploded into fireworks. seeing this, he looked around slightly before looking far off where he saw a sword shooting toward him.
He ignored the sword and kept flying forward, he had one job and that was to ensure his hands took hold of at least 4 flags. he shot forward, but Erza who was wearing her fastest armor quickly caught up. Ji Ning flashed, another sword appearing in his hands which he used to block Erza's attack. and attack which sent him rocketing back... no he allowed it to.
"I would have fought you at any other time, but right now... the best thing to do is to focus on ensuring Cana doesn't get the flag." Ji Ning said with a smile, making Erza grit her teeth. the plan was simple, both she and Alpha ensured Ji Ning couldn't search for a flag while Cana did the rest.
without another word to be said, Erza changed her armor, and shot forward to face Ji Ning, at the same time, Alpha appeared, her sword slashing towards Ji Ning. and like that, Ji Ning was forced into defense, unable to hold his own against the two of them,
meanwhile, Cana ran around, searching for the flag. using her card magic, she was even able to read the cards to find the flags. which allowed her to quickly get her hands on the flags while storing the flags in her card.
"Should I have her also join our guild?" I asked Lue Qing, who shrugged, not caring much. Cana card reading was powerful. but it had its limits, but there were no limits under my power.
"We are not accepting any more changes to the deals," Mavis said seriously hearing my words. I just shrugged and watched the game. Cana dominated the game, from using her card magic to make herself invisible, to having her card turn into flags to draw others away from the real flags, she managed to collect all 8 flags and went into hiding to wait for the game to end.
Meanwhile, Ji Ning whose spiritual sense was locked on Cana this whole time shot off, leaving the cage formed by Alpha and Erza. the two quickly shot after him, there was only a few more second remaining, but Ji Ning had grown much stronger since the beginning.
Ji Ning shot through the buildings, appearing before Cana and cutting up her cards, causing the flags stored within to be free. but as he was about to take them, the ground under Ji Ning exploded, Ji Ning, having self-movement already shot backward when he sensed the traps. but this brought Alpha and Erza enough time for them to appear.
Ji Ning's smile grew, with only a few seconds to the clock, was this not the pressure one needed? shooting forward, he dodged and blocked the two girls' sword attacks, and just as the game was about to come to an end, all of them quickly turned to grab a flag.
"... the winner is... Shadow Garden." the announcer cried out, while Ji Ning looked at the two flags he held. Cana, Alpha, Ji Ning, Erza... oh, another person managed to make her way in at least a second, Minerva from the saber tooth guild, who managed to get her hands on a flag.
Alpha took hold of two flags, one of them being her guild flag. giving her two points. as for everyone else, they all had 1 point. Ji Ning had taken hold of 2 flags, but one of them was not his own. Minerva managed to take hold of her guild flag, leaving Erza to take hold of 2 flags that were not her own giving her 1 point. but Cana had taken hold of her team flag, giving her 1 point
everyone else got 0 points and would have to fight amongst each other to find who amongst them would be taking 6th to 8th place.
"Now this is unforeseen. a battle is needed. we are going to start the battle for last place." the pumpkin man said, heaving everyone leaves as they went over which two people would be going up first. Minerva had a smirk while looking towards Ji Ning who was looking back at her.
she had taken the flag Ji Ning was going to take, and she had appeared out of nowhere, it was almost like she teleported. but Minerva's eyes turned from her and landed on Ling Han, who was looking at her with an interested look
"I wonder what would happen if I gifted her some degree of power since her power is around space," I asked with a smile, making the fairy tail wizards' hearts drop. why? Minerva was a real bitch she was a woman willing to do just about anything for power.
"stop playing around, you know she is not trustworthy and would backstab you the second she gets the chance for more power." Shi Ying said only to sigh hearing her swords. as if she didn't know who Ling Han was.
Anyway, they began, and quickly 6th to 8th place were picked. next was a battle between Erza and Cana, which Erza won. next was a battle between Ji Ning and Minerva.
"I'm more interested in fighting that blindfolded guy up there. You... I care little for." Minerva said with a disdainful look while looking at Ji Ning, leaving Ji Ning speechless. he shook his head, but he was about to end it in one move, Ling Han spoke
"give up, I want to face her," I said with a smile, causing Ji Ning to frown slightly. but as my disciple. he sighed while putting his sword away. making Minerva's smile of disdain grow.
"such arrogance when she was about to be defeated by one blow... it's almost like watching a clown. never mind, one shot her. All interest I had for her just died." I said calmly, stunning the announce who was about to announce Minerva win, but seeing Ji Ning turn towards Minerva he held his breath
"one shot me?" Minerva asked with an enraged look as she glared at me. her magic allowed her to control space thats was within her sight. overpowered, but not broken. She waved her hand towards Ji Ning, who was just calmly walking towards her. forming space into orbs, she attacked Ji Ning who just cut them all.
"you are a clown. my master could control space down to the atomic level, honestly... it's rude to even compare such weak magic to his magic. his magic can't even be copied due to how much high energy control is required for such a thing... what is this? even with incomplete magic, he is light years above you." Ji Ning asked while Minerva's eyes widened in shock, she shot back to create distance between her and Ji Ning, but Ji Ning just pierced forward, his sword piercing through space and right through her.
her eyes widened in shock, before she fell to the ground, holding her stomach in pain. Ji Ning was nice and didn't pierce her, but it felt like. well, did anything have to be said? JI Ning won. following this was Erza vs Jing, and again, Ji Ning won, taking second place with a score of 8, Erza took second, Minerva took 3rd, and so on.
as today was the 4th day, so today's battles would be a 2v2 instead of the normal 1v1. well, let's skip all of the pointless and useless matches. Fairy Tail Team A took place in the second round, they faced Fairy Tail Team B in a scene that made me burst out laughing at him, which annoyed them greatly
Natsu and Wendy vs Laxus and Gajeel... Fairy Tail Team B took the win. Natsu wasn't able to get serious against his guild member
the 3rd match was Shadow Garden Vs Sabertooth, with Shadow Garden taking a hard win, as Minerva took part in that match, along
lastly, it was the Infinity Guild vs Lamia Scale. Astaria and Vyriana vs Jura and Lyon. this should have been an interesting match, after all, Jura was a member of the 10 Wizard Saints... but Vyriana on her own stepped forward to fight the two and win. a scene which left everyone speeding, as she had started weaker, but over time quickly grew to overpower the two. That was even more so when she transformed into a dragon, a scene which shocked everyone, mostly the dragon slayer
