บท 41: Chocolate
"We just keep running into genius." Shi Long said softly while looking at the young man with lightning. Ling Han looked over and his eyebrow raised seeing this kid before he looked at Han Bei.
"Your son or something?" I asked to which Han Bei rolled her eyes slightly.
"He has the Heavenly Lightning Bloodline. a bloodline recreated to copy my power to increase my power to increase my cultivation temporally, only that their bloodline can increase their cultivation by 3 levels instead of 1 like mine." She said calmly, to which Ling Han nodded while looking at the guy below him who was looking at Han Bei, enchanted by her beauty
'Eggy... how strong are they?' the young man, asked while looking at the dragon shooting back at him. he had wanted to move, but the aura given off by the dragon, Han Bei, and Ling Han had forced him only to look.
"Powerful... your senses were not wrong. That white-haired man is only at level 10 marital King." within a world known as the world Spirit place, a black-haired beauty said softly, shocked by what she saw.
the young man was quiet, he looked toward where the dragon had disappeared before walking off. that guy with the blindfold had seen through all his secrets, that was what his 6th sense told him at least.
"... let's go." Lue Qing said softly after looking at Nux who was acting all sweet with Skyla, ignoring that they existed for some time until they heard their worlds, Nux coughed slightly as he regained his senses. no matter the mission, his wives came first.
"Cough. Lady Lue Yin, I was wondering if you and I could team up to explore the primal lands. your abilities are powerful, but they have their limits. I will handle the fights and locate all of the inheritances ground, and you can handle the energy-based trouble. in the end, everything we earn can be split 50/50." Nux said with a smile, that he was strong he had the same cultivation stage as Han Jue, but he was stronger. why? Their systems were slightly different,
Nux's system allowed him to dual cultivate with others, allowing him to break through with great ease. As for those realms he needed an understanding of Dao. his Dao is formed by his subconscious, while he dual cultivates. he also can gain the bloodline of those he dual cultivates with, along with their physique. he was powerful, so while being at the peak of the Earth Immortal realm, he was sure he could fight to a draw with someone at the peak of True Immortal, which was 3 realms,
Han Jue can one-shot someone at mid-True Immortal, but to a standstill, he would not be able to fight someone at the peak of the True Immortal realm. the gap was too big,
Lue Yin's eyebrows tightened at this person's words, she wanted to agree. they have wandered far and wide to find inheritances that didn't require combat talent, if someone would truly deal with the combat part of each inheritance for them, then there would be no limits to what they could do.
If Lue Yin had been by herself, she would have said no. but she was with her siblings. She needed to help them get strong before she could get strong. before she was people capable of skipping 3 realms, meanwhile she and her siblings struggled to skip 2 realms. was this because they were weak? In the end, Lue Yin agreed and formed an oath with Nux. All the while Lue QIng was unwilling, but she couldn't say anything to her little sister who was up and beyond for them. She just didn't want to see Nux and Skyla showing their love around her, all it did was cause her to look back towards Ling Han. She was light years away from ever seeing him, she couldn't even apologize to him. which both annoyed her and made her depressed.
With Nux leading the way, they headed towards the nearest inheritance ground, a place surrounded by a sea of flames. flames which moved and twisted like water, they had to get past this, to which Ling Yin just asked the flame to make way for her and her siblings, which the flames did, allowing them to cross smoothly.
the sea of flames was long, it took them a few hours. and since the laws in this area were weird, they couldn't fly, forcing them to move on their feet. it took some time, but they reached a huge castle that stood tall in the center of the fire Sea. they entered the castle, with Nux leading the way to go...
"the name is Xiao Yan, you are?" Xiao Yan pointed his heavy sword at the weird young man before him. this young man had weird eyes, a light purple with a pattern like that of ripples in water. circle which only spread out from the small black dot in the center of his eye, he had a 3rd eye, which was almost the same as his two purple eyes, but red. his clothing was white, he held a black staff, and 5 black orbs floated behind his back forming a circle. and upon closer look, his clothing was made out of a unique form of energy
"Ximen Tian Long... tell me, boy, where am I?" He asked calmly, the group of people who came with him also looking at Xiao Yan with narrowed eyes. this man, Ximen Tian Long had managed to collect powerful treasures and was about to head back to his home when he felt a pull, a pull that brought him to this world.
this pull was chakra, and since he used chakra, one could see what happened here. due to how similar the two energies were, the technique he used to try and return home ended up bringing him here.
'there's something off about these powers... if you're going to fight them, kill them now. they grow stronger by the second, adapting to this world.' The Dao ancestor warned, to which Xiao Yan frowned, not knowing what he should do. these people just appeared from a portal, at first they couldn't even withstand the gravy of this world, but in a matter of seconds, they were standing up, their powers skyrocketing.
But for his safety, Xiao Yan made the first move. he stepped forward to attack, and at blinding speed, he appeared before Ximen, aiming to knock him out. but his fist went through Ximen, phasing through him.
'... this is Ling Han technique.' Xiao Yan thought in shock, before shooting backward. he looked at Ximen for some time before speaking
"how do you know that ability?" He asked, only making Ximen's shock grow. he was shocked due to Ximen's speed, honestly, he didn't even see the guy move, but he was even more shocked as Ximen seemed to know of his ability...
Ximen was not of this world, from a world known as Earth. he appeared in a new world with a Naruto system, which he used to quickly become the strongest person in his world. but in the end, he wanted to return to his home world. after collecting the best treasures that the world had, he was able to leave with his close friends... yet through the portal, Ximen suddenly sensed something, he got an image of a white-haired man who was fusing all types of energy, and in the end creating a new golden energy which rippled out through his world, almost some of that energy was a chakra,
those purple eyes, and that energy, caused his space-time technique to miss its target and fall toward this world. he was annoyed, after many years he was about to return home. but he found himself in a new world, where his strength was outclassed by many people,
"..." Lue Yin looked at half of the inheritances they got, she looked at Nux who ignored them, busy with his wives. more of them had suddenly popped up. honestly, she didn't fully trust Nux, but he didn't give her the feeling of a guy who would go against his colds. She could tell he truly loved his wives, putting them first, but they forced him to put himself first.
She looked towards Lue Qing, this sister of hers... she was suffering too much damage seeing this. was this now she and Ling Han used to me? They used to be the perfect coups, yet she betrayed him. Lue Yin sighed softly, Lue Qing did nothing wrong, Lue Yin was the one who changed her personality
"Let go our own way." Lue Yin said calmly, stunning Nux who looked towards her in confusion, Lue Qing lowered her head hearing Lue Yin's words. She knew it was because of her she wanted to leave.
"let's stay... the more resources we collect, the more help we can give Ling Han." Lue Qing said softly, Lue Yin gave her a weird look, but she nodded in the end. leaving Nux confused about who Ling Han was.
honestly, Nux thought this would be easier than he expected. he already saw Lue Qing and Lue Yin's weaknesses. Lue QIng had a look of envy and regret every time she saw just how close he was with his wives, and Lue Yin put Lue Qing above everyone else, even her other siblings and her own life
through these weaknesses, if he plays his cards right, he could enter Lue Qing's heart, and the same for Lue Yin. he had 30 days, and 1 day had just ended. now this Ling Han seems to hold a place in her heart, something that his wives noticed. of course, his wives were more than helpful in helping Nux finish this mission of his.
after a moment, they headed off to the next place where there was another inheritance, but along the way, they ran into a group of robbers. this was common, why search for goods when you can take from others?
"This is a Robby, ladies to the right, and males to the left..." A young man stepped out, but after a few seconds, Nux and the group headed off, leading the group of robbers lying half-dead on the ground
"c-call boss Lin Fan." the young man said before his eyes closed, and died. the others quickly made the call, calling their boss...
Nux and the group headed off, clearing many inheritances castles. with Nux and his wives, the combat part of the inheritances ground was easily cleared. meanwhile, they had Lue Qing handle all of the energy-based traps and energy attacks, leaving everyone hopeless before Nux parties.
"... now he avoids me due to his overwhelming pride, not wanting it to get in the way of the feelings he holds for me... but I can't help but wonder if he just hates me." Lue Qing said softly, making Skyla, Amaya, Thyra, and 3 of Nux's wives go quiet.
"would Nux?" Skyla asked in a soft voice, to which Amaya shook her head softly,
"Nux would never do that... he's different, " Amaya said to ease Skyla's worries, Skyla looked at her for a moment before a sweet innocent smile grew on her face. she nodded slightly, a scene which made Lue Qing's eyebrows raise slightly.
"Different?" She asked it had been a few days now since she and this group of females became friends, and in this time, they could be said to have become close. Amaya hearing Skyla's words panicked slightly, but Lue Qing shook her head as she wasn't bothered by her words,
"... well, a few years ago, Felberta betrayed us. we later found out that her child was kidnapped, forcing her to act in such a way for his safety. Nux was enraged, but he refused to believe that Feiberta, his first wife would betray him. even when she nearly killed him, even when we all were aiming to kill her for her betrayer he never lost hope... we all miss the hints she left behind, or she avoided Nux heart, how she hinted to the fact her son was gone. she didn't dare to say it outright that her son was taken." Amaya said softly,
"Nux was enraged when not at Felberta but at herself..." Amaya said with a soft, making Lue Qing lower her head slightly. Amaya didn't need to say anymore, she had a good idea of why Nux was so angry.
She thought back to Ling Han, and the more she thought about him guilty she felt. She knew everything about Ling Han from the moment he awakened those eyes of his, to when he came to the kingdom and saw her.
"that trashy husband..." Lue Qing mumbled, the next she got a chance, she would meet Ling Han, and not give him the chance to avoid him. She had never even seen his back since reincarnating, that no-good, trashy crowd husband,
"I have been meaning to ask, what era are you guys from?" Lue Qing asked making Amaya think for a moment about their era. but deep down, she was disappointed, she wanted Lue Qing to compare her man with Nux. it was clear their man was far better. she had been reincarnated for so many years now, yet her man ignored him.
"is the lower realm split into 1,000,000 pieces?" Lue Qing asked calmly, to which Amaya nodded slightly. but her eyebrow raised
"that just happened a few billion years ago... wait, you're from the lower realms, are you saying you are from a point in the future where the lower realm is capable of holding life?" She asked in shock, to which Lue Qing,
"I see... we should be trillions of years apart." Lue Qing said softly, to which Amaya nodded slightly before she noticed Nux walking over.
"4 beauties sitting around a campfire, mind if I join?" Nux asked with a smile, to which Skyala smiled sweetly, moving aside to let Nux take a seat. Lue Qing watched as Nux pulled out a few pieces of food that had been prepared
"Oh, you finally made it?" Amaya asked with an interested look, Nux had a lot of a few times on him for the past few days, which led to him thinking about food. Was this not a perfect time to show off the food from his past life, Earth?
"remembering it was a bit troublesome, but after placing an illusion over myself to go far back into the past, I was able to recollect them. this is why I kept many of the stuff we collected. this here is called chocolate, using the beans we got I was able to recreate this. and with how high grade those beans were... well, this is heavenly." Nux said with a smile while giving everyone a piece of it. Lue Qing hesitated for a moment, before in the end she too took one, and in the end, her eyes widened in shock after taking the first bit.
it was truly heavenly, if this was what heaven tasted like, then it was sure to test like this. cultivators rarely eat, unless for fun or pleasure. Not even Ling Han ate, as his sense of taste was too strong, allowing him to easily taste the flaws. there was no fun to eat for him.
"oh, chocolate?" a curious voice filled the air, causing Lue Qing to freeze slightly. while Nux and his waves moved, in shock as they didn't sense this person appeared. but upon looking over and seeing Ling Han, who was sitting on top of a dragon, they were even more shocked
Lue Qing looked at Ling Han, who was looking back at her. her lips pressed tightly together, trying her best to try and stop herself from crying. Ling Han seeing this sighed softly, before he stepped forward, going over to Lue Qing's side.
Lue Qing stepped forward to hug him, to which Ling Han's hands hoped, but before they could hug, Lue Qing's fist slammed heavily into Ling Han's stomach, causing him to bend over slightly, and into Lue Qing...
