บท 76: Chapter 76: Silence him forever

Lisa walked into the jewelry section, a friendly sales associate, Rachel, greeted her with a warm smile.

"Hello, welcome to our jewelry department! How can I assist you today?" Rachel asked.

Lisa's eyes sparkled with excitement. "Hi, I'm looking for a special gift for my husband, He's incredibly handsome, just like a serene being," she said with a chuckle.

recheal eyes widened in suprise, in this young age with all your beauty, she never expect that.

her eyes lit up. "Well, we'll find something that matches his divine looks! everything in this section are pretty much expensive, What type of jewelry is he into? Watches, cufflinks, or perhaps a necklace?"

Lisa thought for a moment. "He likes classic and elegant pieces. Something that will make him stand out, but not too flashy."

Rachel nodded. "I have just the thing. Follow me, please."

She led Lisa to a display case showcasing sleek, high-end watches and elegant cufflinks.

"We have a new collection from a renowned designer that exudes sophistication and style," Rachel explained, pulling out a few pieces.

Lisa's eyes widened as she scanned the selection. "Oh, these are stunning! But I want something truly unique."

Rachel smiled knowingly. "Let me show you something special."

She disappeared into the back room and returned with a beautifully crafted, one-of-a-kind timepiece.

"This limited-edition watch features a sleek design, 18-karat gold, and a touch of sophistication that will make your husband shine," Rachel said, handing Lisa the watch.

Lisa gasped, admiring the intricate details. "This is it! This is the perfect one for Lugard."

Rachel beamed with satisfaction. "I knew you'd find the perfect match. Shall I gift wrap it for you?"

"What's the price?" Lisa asked the sales associate.

"It's twenty-five million dollars, ma'am," the sales associate replied.

Lisa bit her lip, having expected this price. "I don't even know if that cold face will like it, with his cold personality," she thought to herself. "If he doesn't appreciate it, I'll just throw it away."

Lisa handed over her ATM card, her heart racing with the huge amount she was spending without knowing where her next funds would come from.

The sales associate carefully wraps the wristwatch in tissue paper, places it in a gift box, and hands it to Lisa with a smile.

"Here you go, Miss! Your beautiful new wristwatch, all wrapped up and ready to go. Would you like me to include a receipt and any care instructions with it?" the sale associate asked happily.

Lisa takes the gift box, admiring the watch through the transparent lid

"Thank you so much! Yes, please include the receipt and care instructions. And thank you for the lovely wrapping!" Lisa said with a smile.

As she left the jewelry section, she stepped into the luxurious male clothing section, she was immediately surrounded by rows of sleek, high-end attire. Her eyes scanned the racks, searching for the perfect pieces to add some vibrancy to Lugard's monochromatic wardrobe. She had always admired his dressing color style, how his black and white outfit accentuated his chiseled features, giving him an air of mystery and sophistication, like a handsome, cold Lord.

But today, she wants to introduce some new color into his life. She decided to pick out four different outfits, each with a unique hue to complement his striking appearance.

First, she selected a crisp, sky-blue dress shirt with subtle texture, imagining how it would contrast beautifully against his pale skin. Next, she chose a pair of dark-gray trousers with a slim fit, which would accentuate his lean physique.

Moving on, she browsed through the Taylord Suit section, running her fingers over the fine fabrics. She settled on a charcoal-gray suit with a subtle pattern, envisioning how it would enhance Lugard's broad shoulders and sharp jawline.

Finally, she picked out a rich, burgundy sweater, picturing how the deep, bold color would add warmth to his piercing gaze.

With her selections in hand, she approached the checkout counter, eager to see Lugard's reaction to her thoughtful choices. Would he be surprised by the burst of color in his wardrobe, or would he revert to his signature black and white?

Lisa asked the checkout counter, "Mrs, can you please tell me the total for all these brand-new clothes?"

The sales associate scanned the items and replied, "Let me calculate that for you, ma'am."

After a few moments, she announced, "The total comes out to be $17,892,500."

Lisa's eyes widened in excitement. "Perfect! That's exactly within my budget of $18 million."

The sales associate raised an eyebrow, impressed. "Wow, congratulations on your luxury shopping spree, ma'am! Would you like me to assist with any alterations or gift wrapping?"

Lisa smiled. "No, thank you. I'll take them all as is."

The sales associate nodded and began processing the payment.

Lisa smiled, carrying her shopping bags as she walked out of the men's section and into the women's clothing area.

"Hey Lili, where did you go? I didn't even notice when you left earlier," Didi asked, as the checkout counter calculated their purchases.

"I went to buy some clothes and look around," Lisa replied.

Emma smiled. "Okay, we're done here. Let's go find something to eat."

As Lisa, Emma and Didi walked out of the brand-name shopping store, a snide voice cut through the air.

"Wow, look who we have here," Mera sneered.

Lisa's, Emma and Didi's faces darkened at the sound of the familiar voice.

"Mera," Lisa muttered, her eyes narrowing.

"What a coincidence," Mera continued, her tone dripping with malice. "I thought you were already dead at Mr. Miller Lugard's hands. And yet, you still have the nerve to hang out with your friends."

Lisa's anger boiled over.

"Mera, watch your mouth," she warned, "or I'll help you give it the shape it deserves."

Mera snorted, gesturing to her bodyguard.

"Oh, I'm scared, Lisa," she said, her voice heavy with sarcasm. "What can you do to me? How many bodyguards do I have, again?"

Lisa's eyes flashed with anger, but she kept her cool. "You think a few bodyguards can protect you from me?" she said, her voice low and even. "I've dealt with worse threats than you, Mera."

Mera sneered. "We'll see about that. You're just a weak little girl playing dress-up with your rich friends."

Didi stepped forward, her eyes blazing. "Back off, Mera. You're not welcome here."

Emma stood beside Didi, her arms crossed. "Yeah, leave Lisa alone, you annoying bitch."

"How and when did you even come to this A city?" Didi asked, her eyes narrowing.

Mera's smile faltered for a moment before she regained her composure. "I arrived yesterday, actually. Just thought I'd visit some friends."

Emma furruwd and post her lips in realization, pointing at Mera. "Could it be that you followed us to this city?" she asked, gritting her teeth in anger.

Mera laughed, her voice dripping with arrogance. "Ha! You think I'd waste my time monitoring and following you guys? You're not that important."

Didi nodded at Emma. "You're right. How did she end up in this A city all of a sudden? How did you end up here if you didn't follow us? You snitch!" Didi accused, folding her fist.

Mera's eyes widened in panic before she regained her cool. "I just came a day ago to see my friends. Is there any problem with that?"

Emma raised an eyebrow. "What friends? You don't have friends here."

Lisa stepped forward, her eyes locked on Mera. "We know you're lying, Mera. What's your real motive?"

Mera glared at Lisa, her eyes scanning Lisa's beautiful face, focusing on the fading scar. "Oh, see our most beautiful lady in B City," she mocked, bursting into laughter. "I can see you're really going through a bit of hell every day in your marriage."

Lisa's eyes flashed with anger.

Mera continued, her smile twisted. "But I want him to crush and damage you completely, Lisa." Her voice dripped with malice. "And I really want to meet your useless, heartless garbage husband to reward him for his hard work and tell him to keep it up."

Mera stepped closer, whispering in Lisa's ear, "When he's done finishing you up, he doesn't deserve to be in this beautiful world. I will silence him forever." Her laughter sent chills down Lisa's spine.
