“Oh! Now that we are here, let’s discuss the most important thing that we are gathered for today. When do you think is a good date for Samuel and Grace’s engagement?” Mama Bryant asked all of the ones present.

Grace’s heart skipped a beat.

It was finally time. Grace braced herself.

“Yes, yes. This is the main reason for today’s get-together. How can we forget about it so quickly?” Mama Miller said it with a laugh.

Both Papa Miller and Papa Bryant also chimed in with agreement.

Both of the families had already consulted some good masters to determine auspicious dates. Even though both families were modern, they still followed traditional lineage and believed that ceremonies like engagements and weddings should be done on auspicious dates.

One auspicious date was after two weeks and another was after one and a half months. Both families had determined the same auspicious dates.
