The birds chirped.
The sun had lightened everyone's morning with ray of bright sunshine. The warm blanket above him fueled heat, causing Caleb's brows to twitch. His senses came back as he realized the woman was nowhere to be found on the bed. His eyes widened in an instant.
The quiet room bothered him. Concern rose within. "Lilith?" His shaking voice echoed in the bedroom, yet, no response returned. Reminding him of the fact that he was all alone. "Lilith?" Promptly, the man rushed out of the bed. His steps headed out as he walked down.
And the heavy feeling vanished once he witnessed the sight of the woman making coffee in the kitchen. A sigh escaped between Calen's lips. He actually thought the woman had disappeared from his life. Thankfully, it was all an assumption he made out of fright.
