My heart broke as I dressed the girls, trying my best to keep them as warm as possible and not to break down in front of them. I had barely thirty minutes before my hearing and I needed to ensure their safety more than anything.

Faustina and Brenna were my only options.

"Please…" I said in a strangled voice "Take care of my girls for me. They're all I have… please,".

"Don't worry, your majesty," They smiled assuring "We will protect them with our lives. We would also be on the lookout for their father.
