"K-Kaiser!"

Aylin hesitated, blinking with bafflement. She experienced a gamut of perplexing emotions. She exclaimed with a twinge of envy as she felt ice spreading through her stomach, "Why is he with her? Is he her companion?"

Ryder mocked softly, "Really? Your beloved Kaiser hasn't told you about it?"

"I- I think that it is not something important for me to know," Aylin mumbled in a shaky voice, looking away and biting her lips.

A bitter jealousy stirred inside her with a deep, unaccustomed pain in her breast though she tried her best to stay calm and keep her composure under control.

Princess Avery already left to greet her younger sister and Kaiser. Gently grabbing Aylin's wrist, Ryder pulled her behind him when he noticed that Kaiser and Princess Fiona were approaching him as his playful smirk widened.
