บท 257: Chapter 257

A small celebration was held inside the ball room to acknowledge Aeryn as the new Lady of the Mines, and Dante Lucan as her Lord Consort. Artemis himself placed Leoric's crown on his sister's head. Then the celebrations were followed by a wedding, no one expected that. 

It was forbidden for a woman to wed another man while her husband still drew breath. Both Aeryn and Dante knew that very well, but Artemis had made up his mind. He told the Faith Crones and the High Septon that he had the power to dissolute a marriage. "A king can end a marriage, and hereby I declare my sister unmarried and she shall take Sir Dante Lucan as her new husband". 

Of course the High Septon of the Mines had no choice but to perform a wedding between Aeryn and Dante, although he knew very well it was against the gods wishes and instructions. Three days after the sacking of the Mines, Aeryn and Dante were wedded in front of masses.
