Inside the emptiness where no light reaches the place, there is a person Covered by darkness drifting weightlessly through the space.
The said person is Alex, comfortable floating in the dream-like space, but suddenly he's eye opens from his comatose state from a sudden pain coming through his body.
As consciousness tiptoed back into Alex's world, it felt as if he were floating in a sea of hazy tranquility. The sharp sting of pain that had gripped him moments ago had receded, replaced by a strange weightlessness that seemed to carry him adrift.
He looks around and sees an unfamiliar place where only darkness can be seen from his perspective, he tries to understand where and why he's in this place.
But suddenly a flash of light came through his eye that blinded him for a moment, he covered his eyes with his hand to avoid the blinding light that shone over him.
He braced himself for something because the light began to shine brighter than ever, the darkness from before began to disappear and get replaced by the light.
As the light slowly dims away, he moves his hand away and sees an unknown door in front of him, he is confused for a moment by the sudden appearance of the door but a whisper in his ear tells him to reach it out.
Without any hesitation, Alex moved his hand forward to reach the door handle and open it, suddenly the scenery around him changed to a bright grassy field where the sun shone through the field.
The feeling of comfort comes to Alex as if he had been here before, but as he looks around he sees a man leaning on a single tree in the middle of the meadow.
With nowhere to go, Alex proceeds to go toward the man with a question on his mind, as he is almost near the man, he can see his appearance.
The guy wearing some sort of a blend of olive drab and earthy brown uniform that seemed out of place from the surrounding area, the man kept looking at the green field as if reminiscing the past.
As Alex got closer, the man noticed his presence and turned to face him. This shocked Alex because the man had the same face as him.
Both of them stare at each other at a standstill, Alex wants to ask the man some questions but the man cuts him first.
"You're not supposed to be here... not yet, at least," the man said as he began to turn around and walk away. Alex yelled at him to stop.
"Wait! Who are you? And why do you look like me?" Alex shouted. The man stopped but did not turn around.
"You will know soon enough," the man replied. Suddenly, a mysterious force began to push Alex away from the man and toward the door behind him.
"Sh*t, wait!" Alex struggled to hold his ground but began to get swept away. The last thing he saw was the scenery changing from a beautiful green field to a destroyed city, where chaos erupted all around the man, who was walking alone through it all.
Alex's consciousness began to darken as the light around him enveloped his body, pulling him toward the door. He vanished instantly as he entered.

*Gasp* "Huff... huff... Sh*t what the hell was that?"
Waking from my nightmare, I found myself on a medical bed, a blood pack hooked up to my hand.
All my clothes and hear had been stripped away, leaving me in a patient gown with only my underwear covering me.
I swung my legs over the side of the bed and felt a sting in my leg. Looking down, I saw a bandaged leg stained with dry blood.
"Huh? Did someone patch me up?"
As I surveyed my surroundings, I realized I was in a hospital room. The window was barricaded with wooden planks, and a door stood near my bed.
When I tried to get up, I heard footsteps outside the door. With no weapon or protection, panic set in, and I desperately grabbed anything nearby to defend myself.
Suddenly, the door swung open to reveal a woman in her fifties, dressed as a doctor and holding a clipboard.
She noticed my defensive stance, a glass cup clutched in my hand, ready to throw. Instead of fear, she looked at me with the disappointment of an adult facing a child trying to be intimidating.
"Put down the cup, young man. There's no reason to hurt yourself after just recovering, right?"
At that moment, a large man wearing heavy gear and an Altyan helmet entered the room, a PKM sling across his chest, standing menacingly behind her.
"Don't worry; Kolya won't hurt you if you behave."
I could only nod and silently set the cup down, feeling intimidated by the juggernaut in the room.
"Good. Now lie back down on the bed, and let me check your wound."
I complied, lying down as she carefully unwrapped the bandage on my leg. A strange expression crossed her face as she revealed the injury beneath.
"Strange," she remarked, inspecting my wound. "You've healed remarkably fast—in just a day." She jotted something down on her clipboard after finishing her assessment.
I looked down at my leg and noticed that the gunshot wound had closed up, leaving only a scar behind.
"Doc... how long have I been out?"
She glanced up from her notes and replied, "Just a day. It's pretty miraculous considering how much blood you lost. For most people, it usually takes three to six days to heal, and a full recovery can take a week."
Listening to her diagnosis, I found myself intrigued by my own body. 'Is this because I'm in a new body?' The thought made sense; after my unfortunate death from chugging energy drinks, I realized I wasn't in my original body anymore.
The first abnormality I noticed was how quickly my body improved with just a little exercise as if it were adapting to my surroundings.
My reflexes felt heightened, and my hearing was unusually sensitive. I could even hear someone outside the room. Suddenly, I recalled how my body reacted when I was surrounded by the scavs who tried to kill me.
It feels unnatural for a shut-in college gamer to do a move like that as if my body already knows how to handle a firearm in decades of training, yet I never touch any firearm in my life.
Deep in my thoughts, I didn't notice the doctor already finished her report and began to pull the IV needle out of my arm.
"it seems you healthy enough to go, young man, I wanted to know more about your condition but we are too occupied with our medical supplies shortages ", she then signaled the juggernaut and told him to get my gear and weapons back.
"wait doc! How about the girl? , is she safe?", the doctor then smiled at me.
"yes, she is safe with her father down the stairs, you must be lucky because, without her, you will be bleed out to death out there when we find you", I sigh in relief, my effort getting her here is not in vain, and I finally met one of the famous contacts inside tarkov.
Seeing my expression, she was amused when she told me the news of the girl, "It's noble for you to help that girl you know? Not many people here in this current state care to help someone in need".
then she continue talking while making a solemnly face, "But not a lot of the people live that long of acting naively like that, only the liar, smart and cowards that always see the next day".
She look at me with respect but with a tint of disappointment at me "If you want to long live enough in this place, never do something stupid like that ever again, do you understand young man?".
I nod at her advice, "got it doc, thanks for your advice".
She then got up from the chair and began to leave the room, but before she opened the door she told me something for me to foothold in this city "one last thing, don't call me doctor, call me therapist, and I have a job for you, are you interested?".
