“Ahhh…” I moaned as my effort to keep it in failed.
Bradon told me that I made the mistake of coming back. If he was referring to the fact that I returned to this country, then his regret must be related to how I left this country in the past. It still didn’t make any sense to me no matter how hard I thought about it because Bradon had nothing to do with my decision to leave the country in the first place.
What does he mean when he said that he let me go? Why was it a mistake to him?
“It must be so easy for you to forget. Anything that isn’t convenient for you, you’ll just forget it, isn't that right, Dahlia?” he accused me tauntingly.
The tone of his voice was dark and tinged with malice and some emotions that I couldn't identify or understand. He sounded hurt but at the same time, there was so much hatred in his voice as well.
“That’s not true…” I whispered in response.
