When Leo just had a day from arriving home, he suddenly received a distress signal from the US President whom he had given a device that would send him a distress signal in case he needed his help.

So Leo didn't have any choice but to immediately change course towards Washington, and postpone his return.

After all, he didn't want to lose a potential ally, and it's not like it would be a big deal for him if he lends them small helping hand.

After all, he can't help everyone who are still surviving in the other parts of the world, so he at least wanted to help people to as many as he could.

Leo had already briefed his parents, including Amanda and Michelle, which resulted in him getting scolded by them.
