I passed through massive 30 foot tall gates to enter the royal capital. The capital was built to withstand a siege, even though no invaders could probably get this far… well not ones of this world anyways, with tall walls surrounding the capital and guards deployed all around it. It was one of the three largest cities of the Kingdom, with only E-rantel being comparable. We made our way inside and only a few minutes later the wagon I was in came to a halt.
"This is it, warrior-dono, our final destination. If you're looking for the adventurer's guild you should head to the main plaza, it should be connected to this road." Myurro instructed.
"I appreciate it."
Saying this I took my leave and began to head towards the ADventurer's guild. Apparently the central street connects the main gate on one end and passes through the central plaza before connecting to the Ro-Lente Castle on the other end. The adventurer's guild is placed in the central plaza.
And thus, I move through the central street before eventually reaching my destination. The guild building in the capital was bigger than the one in E-rantel. While the building in E-rantel looked like an old bar you would visit in Europe from the inside and a normal although slightly bigger shed from the outside (although that was because Satoru's perception being off as a member of the modern world), its design was purely functional, with little to no embellishment on the outside. In contrast, the guild HQ in the capital was much more lavish. First of all, it was surrounded by a lush garden full of beautiful flowers and thick bushes which had been trimmed to look like various monsters and knights. This allowed it to fit in a bit better with all the noble mansions which surrounded it. Furthermore, the main building resembled a mansion more than an office, with intricately designed architecture and details such as gargoyles and decorative briars hanging off of the soffit. The building is painted pearl white, with a navy blue ceiling and gold accents spread throughout, be it the pots kept on one of the building's many balconies or the intricate painting of a golden vine wrapping around a deep blue rose on a portion of its walls. It is quite large as well, being thrice the size of the guild building in E-rantel.
I open the door and walk in, only to be confronted by a complete change in atmosphere. In complete contrast to whatever was going on outside, the inside looks much more similar to the E-rantel guild HQ. People were constantly rushing from one place to another giving the place a hectic atmosphere, and the people that were seated were giving off, or trying to give off an intimidating aura but that works on me as well as an apology works on a twitter hate-mob so I didn't give much of a damn.
Furthermore, there were crowds gathered in various areas throughout the guild, which I assumed were the notice boards with the quests displayed for the people of appropriate rank to pick up.
I walked up to the front desk, before talking to the receptionist.
"Excuse me. I would like to turn in some monster corpses."
"Good morning. Did you mean you are turning in monster parts? Then, are you a member of the guild? If so, what is your rank?"
"I am currently a copper ranked adventurer, and I registered in E-rantel."
Some people began to gossip upon hearing this.
"Did you hear, he says he's a copper rank. Look how that fool carries himself with such a lowly rank. Just wait till he leaves. I'm going to obliterate that shitty face of his."
'God, do people have an employment crisis in this world? Some idiots have way too much free time.'
My thoughts were interrupted by the receptionist.
"I have confirmed your registration. Which monster would you like to submit?"
"Yes, if I remember correctly, it was a type of wolf? I will just show you."
Saying this, I pulled out a pouch before emptying its contents.
"O-oh my! These are giant sabre wolves! But how, weren't you only copper rank!"
"I signed up a week ago. I saw a caravan being attacked by these monsters while returning so I killed them."
"Ah well, please be seated, we will bring you your compensation. May I know where you are from?"
"I'm from somewhere far away, so you won't know the country."
"Nevermind then. But please know that what you have done is enough for you to be promoted to a higher rank. You will probably become a platinum ranked adventurer."
"All right. Also, please bring me my money first as I need to go look for a place to stay."
"This guild has accomodations for adventurers. If you head to the back, there is a building where you can stay for 2 silvers a day."
"Then I shall do that."
"Thank you for using our services. I will remove the fee for today's stay and bring you the rest. Your room will be given to you soon."
Saying so, she bowed before I was given my money and given my room.
I entered my room and lay down on the bed.
"Haah. Finally I can rest. I guess I'm not immune to stress like Ainz is."
Man, the last few days have been crazy, from getting transported here in the body of a character that does not even belong to this universe to having to kill again. But that isn't relevant.
Not to mention interacting with characters I had only seen through a screen before. I was taking this pretty well all things considered.
As I thought this, a [Message] was suddenly used to connect to me.
[Sukuna-dono, are you listening.]
[ Yes I am, What is it, Yuri Alpha?]
[Ainz-sama has ordered your immediate return to Nazarick. We are afraid that Shalltear Bloodfallen has betrayed us.]
"Well shit. So much for rest."
