Nami, a skilled thief, had been drawn to Alan's fame and talent. She had often fantasized about meeting him in person, even as she embarked on her own endeavors to pilfer from the rich and powerful. However, she hadn't anticipated encountering such a "big shot" directly.
Alan, admiring Nami's audacity and intelligence, speculated that she had mistakenly assumed he shared the same goal as the Alvida Pirates, who sought to plunder the wealthy passengers and treasures aboard the luxury cruise ship they currently occupied.

However, fate had intervened, and Alan found himself labeled a pirate even before joining the Marines. His original plan had been thwarted by Arlong, the fish-man, and a conniving colonel. The thought of his once-promising scheme being derailed infuriated Alan, a chilling coldness emanating from his eyes. Unconsciously, a palpable aura of murderous intent enveloped him.
Caught in the overwhelming presence of Alan's power, Nami froze, drenched in a cold sweat. She had expected his touch to be cold and merciless, capable of snapping her neck effortlessly.
