บท 9: Chapter 9
I'm in the air ducts of Stark tower with buzzing all around. I stay still in my spot making sure that it wasn't me who set off the alarms. I sit there and cap comes over the com in my ear in a whisper "was that you that set the alarms off?" I start looking around to see if there are any sensors that I didn't know about then I hear a crash from below then I whisper "I don't think so I heard a crash below me in the main building" cap responds "you should get out of there before we arrive." He's talking about his team the Avengers. I respond "no I will not abandon this mission. Lives are at stake if I can't complete this." cap comes over one last time "fine, But I don't understand why you don't just ask Tony for the files." the coms go dead after that and I craw quietly through the air ducts until I see Starks office through the grate. I start to quietly work on removing the grate, then I see the Hulk brake though and land on Stark's desk I begin thinking to myself 'well shit as if getting through Stark's office security wasn't going to be bad Pepper's security was even worse to get through not only did Stark put his best in her office but I upgraded her computer with a file that is just going to make this that much harder'
I quietly put everything back in its place and make my way through the ducts to Pepper's office. surprisingly these are actually clean Stark must have had them cleaned recently. I keep going until I see pepper's office below luck for me their offices are on the same floor. I get to work on taking the grate off once it's off I stick my head down my hair and my hood both fall over my head I have to move it out of the way to look around. I then grab a canister open it and aim it at the ground allowing me to see the lasers that guard this room and they are everywhere. I pull my head back into the air duct so that I can lower my feet down first. I drop down landing on one foot being careful not to touch any of the lasers. I hear the battle growing closer. I make my way through the lasers carefully and with the skills of an acrobat until I get to Pepper's computer. I start to carefully hack her computer I hear a crash close by. I put the wrong password in the first time. I try again wrong again. Before I can try a third time someone crashes into here and there is smoke everywhere I can't see who it is.
