บท 3: Ch 02. With A New World, Comes New Powers

Peter's heart was racing as he stood frozen in time. He couldn't believe what he was seeing; it was like he had travelled back to the past. He closed his eyes, took a deep breath, and tried to think back to the battle with Ronan the Accuser, wondering if something had happened during the fight that had transported him to the past.

"What is going on? I'm back in New York, and the city looks different. Did I time travel? Is this some kind of an alternate reality? My head is spinning. I have to figure out what's happening," he thought to himself, his mind racing with a thousand questions.

He looked around and tried to take in his surroundings. He was standing on a rooftop, and the city skyline looked different. It was as if he had stepped into a time machine and gone back in time. The buildings were the same, but there was a sense of nostalgia in the air. He felt like he was reliving a memory, but it was too vivid to be a dream.

"Wait a minute. I remember this place. This is where I fought Electro. That was two years ago. Could it be that I've somehow travelled back in time? But how is that even possible? And why am I here? What is the reason for all of this?" Peter's thoughts were racing, and he felt like he was going to lose control.

He took a deep breath and tried to calm himself down. "I have to stay calm and focused. If I panic, I won't be able to figure out what's happening. I need to think back to everything that's happened to me since the day I became Spider-Man. Maybe there's a clue in there that can help me make sense of all of this."

But nothing seemed to make sense. The last thing he remembered was fighting Ronan, and now he was in New York, in the past. It didn't add up, and he knew that he must be missing something.

"Wait a minute. I remember what Dr Strange told me about the multiverse. Could it be that I've somehow ended up in a different timeline or reality? It seems far-fetched, but it's the only explanation that makes sense," Peter reasoned, trying to put the pieces together.

Peter was relieved to see that his family was here, but he wondered what had happened to the Avengers. Were they even a thing in this reality? He knew he had to find out.

"I have to be careful, though. I don't know what kind of consequences that could have," he thought, his mind still racing.

Peter knew he had to stay low and observe. Maybe he could learn something that would help him get back to his time. If he was indeed back in time, he had a great opportunity to prevent all the horrible things from happening, but he knew he had to be careful not to mess anything up.

"This is insane. I never thought anything like this could happen to me. But I'm Spider-Man, and I have to face whatever challenges come my way. I'll figure this out, one way or another," he thought, a sense of determination filling him.

Peter took one last look around, and then began to climb down the building and started walking down the road. He knew he had a long journey ahead of him, and he didn't want to waste any more time. He was going to find out what had happened and why he was here, and he was going to do whatever it takes to get back to his own time. He was Spider-Man, and he was ready for anything.

As Peter walked down the street, he couldn't help but think about the mix-up that had happened. It was a lot to take in, and he was trying to wrap his head around it all when suddenly he heard a car honking behind him. He turned around to see none other than Flash Thompson, the school bully, driving up in a flashy sports car.

"What's up, Puny Parker?" Flash taunted. "See this car? It's worth more than your stinking apartment. By the way, where's your hot aunt?"

Peter felt a familiar knot form in his stomach as he remembered all the times Flash had bullied him. He was about to retort when he heard a girl's voice speaking up for him.

"Leave him alone, Flash. What has he ever done to you?" The voice belonged to a red-haired girl who was standing nearby, looking at Flash with disapproval.

Peter turned to see who had spoken up for him and was surprised to see Mary Jane, a girl he had always liked but had never been able to work up the courage to talk to. "Hey, Peter," she said, giving him a sympathetic smile.

"Chillax, MJ," Flash said, rolling his eyes. "I'm just messing around with him. That's what friends do, right, Parker?"

Mary Jane shook her head hopelessly. "You don't have to take that from him, Peter," she said, turning back to him. "I'm sorry, but I can't come with you today. I have a club meeting early, and Flash is giving me a ride to school."

Peter nodded understandingly. "No problem, MJ. See you at school," he said with a smile.

"See you soon," Mary Jane replied before getting into the car with Flash.

As the car drove away, Peter felt a mix of emotions swirling inside him. He was happy to have seen Mary Jane again, but he couldn't help but feel jealous and angry at the sight of her with Flash. He tried to push these feelings aside, but they kept bubbling up inside him until suddenly something snapped.

There was a loud boom, and a wave of energy rippled out from Peter, destroying everything in its path. Pedestrians screamed and ran away, but Peter stood frozen in shock at what he had just done. He had no idea what was happening to him, and he was terrified.

"Mutant!" someone shouted. "Freak!" "Run, there's a mutant here!" Others followed suit, and Peter felt a sense of panic rising within him.

"Hey, where did that freak go?" someone yelled, and Peter realized that all the pedestrians were looking right at him but acting like they couldn't see him.

He looked down at his hands and gasped in surprise when he saw that they had become transparent. He was invisible!

Peter had no idea what to do next. He was scared and confused, and he had no one to turn to for help. He tried to calm himself down and think things through logically, but his mind was racing, and he couldn't focus. The realization hit him hard, and he wondered how he could turn himself visible again. Peter tried to focus and control his power, but it seemed like a losing battle.

He decided to make his way back home and try to figure out what was happening to him. As he walked, he tried to keep a low profile and avoid drawing attention to himself. He moved quickly and quietly, slipping through crowds of people without being seen.

As Peter walked down the street, he bumped into a street vendor, but the vendor didn't seem to notice him. Peter tried to touch the vendor's hand, but his hand went right through the vendor's hand, confirming that he was indeed invisible.

Peter felt a sudden wave of anxiety and panic. He had no idea what had caused this, and he didn't know how to fix it. Peter realized that he needed to find a solution before he could go back to his normal life.

As he walked down the street, Peter tried to remember what had happened before the explosion. He recalled the intense emotions he had felt when he saw MJ getting into Flash's car. He wondered if his emotions had caused this invisible state.

Peter decided to test his theory and focused on trying to become visible again. Slowly, he felt his body materialize, and he was visible once again. Peter was overjoyed at the result and knew that he needed to be careful with his emotions to avoid causing any further complications.

Peter stood there, stunned. He had always known that he was capable of amazing things, but this was beyond anything he had ever experienced before. He closed his eyes and concentrated, trying to feel the extent of his newfound abilities. He could feel the energy coursing through his veins, the raw power that was at his fingertips.

"To think, I had no idea I had these abilities all along," Peter thought to himself. He had always assumed that he had reached the limits of his spider powers, but it was clear now that there was so much more to discover.

But as he opened his eyes, he was struck with another realization. These were not his powers. They were also the powers of Miles Morales, the other Spider-Man. It was like he was sharing a body with someone else, someone who was just as powerful as he was.

"Whoa, I have my powers and Miles' powers," Peter said out loud, marveling at the possibilities that this presented.

But as he stood there, contemplating the implications of his new abilities, he heard a faint sound in the distance. It was a news broadcast, blaring out headlines that he could barely make out. He reached into his pocket and pulled out his phone, dialing up the news app and scanning through the latest stories.

"Avengers save another day! What's next for Mr Fantastic! All will fall before Doom - Dr Doom," the headlines read. Peter's mind raced as he tried to make sense of it all. The Avengers existed this year? And who were Mr Fantastic and Dr Doom?

He scrolled through the articles, trying to find some answers, but he was only left with more questions. It was like he had been transported to an alternate reality, one where everything was familiar yet different at the same time.

And then it hit him. He had not travelled through time. He had travelled through space, to a parallel universe where everything he knew was turned upside down. It was like he had been given a second chance, a chance to explore a world that he had never imagined existed.

But with that excitement came a sense of danger. He knew that he was not in his universe anymore, and he had no idea what sort of threats he would face here. He would need to be cautious, to learn as much as he could about this new world before he made any moves.

Peter pulled up the hood of his suit and made his way out of the alley. He knew that he needed to find allies, people who could help him navigate this strange new world. And if he was lucky, he might even find a way to get back to his reality.

But for now, he would need to rely on his wits and his newfound powers. As he swung through the city, he marveled at the incredible and familiar surroundings. It was like he had landed in his past and yet it was different.

And as he soared through the skies, he knew that he was ready for whatever challenges this new reality had in store for him. "Let's do this," he said to himself, a grin spreading across his face. "I'm ready for anything."

"BOOM!" Peter's heightened senses caught the sound of screams and chaos, and he immediately knew he had to act. As he rushed towards the source of the commotion, he saw a figure with guns in his hands committing crimes. It was the villainous Trapster, using the adhesive lubricant from his guns to immobilize innocent civilians and law enforcement officers alike.

Peter gritted his teeth, "Just a few hours into this new reality and already dealing with a clown like you, Trapster." He shook his head, "Well, I guess it's just another day in the life of Spider-Man."

"Hey, hey, hey, Mr Sticky! What's up?" Peter quipped as he swung towards Trapster.

Trapster turned to face Peter, a sly smile on his face. "Who the hell are you, punk?"

"I heard some commotion and thought I'd come to investigate. And it looks like I found you causing chaos."

Trapster laughed. "Ah, we have a wise guy here, folks. But let me tell you, you're no match for me and my sticky guns."

Peter smirked. "We'll see about that. I have a few tricks up my sleeve." He held up his hand, and a ball of energy crackled in his palm.

Trapster's eyes widened in surprise. "What the-? What kind of power is that?"

"It's one of my abilities, and I think you're about to experience it." Peter launched the energy ball at Trapster, hitting him squarely in the chest and knocking him backwards.

Trapster stumbled, trying to regain his footing. "You may have caught me off guard, sticky guy, but I'm not finished yet." He aimed his guns at Peter and fired, sending a stream of adhesive towards him.

Peter dodged and weaved around the sticky streams, leaping into the air and landing behind Trapster. He delivered a swift punch to the back of his head, rendering him unconscious.

As Trapster fell to the ground, Peter landed elegantly beside him. "Looks like the sticky situation is under control." He grinned at his pun and then turned to face the police who had just arrived on the scene. "Don't worry, officers, I've got this guy. You can take it from here."

The officers nodded their appreciation, and Peter prepared to depart. But before he could swing away, one of them called out to him. "Hey, the guy in the spandex! What is your name? Are you a mutant or something?"

Peter chuckled. "Officer, I am just your friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man."

'Aw crap, I am late for school,' Peter thought and he shot a web and swung away, feeling confident and exhilarated. He may be in a different reality, but he still had his spider powers and a new one to boot. He wondered what other surprises this world had in store for him.

As Peter swung through the city, he couldn't shake off the feeling that someone was watching him. He looked around but saw no one. Little did he know that he was being observed by a figure in a distant lab.

<Unknown Location>

The figure was tall and imposing, dressed in dark green armor with golden accents. His face was hidden by a metal mask, with only his piercing eyes visible through the slits. This was none other than Doctor Victor von Doom, ruler of the nation of Latveria.

Doom watched Spider-Man with a mix of curiosity and suspicion. He had been monitoring the dimensional portal that had opened up recently, and he suspected that the appearance of the web-slinger was no coincidence. He had to know more about this new player in the game.

"Interesting," Doom murmured to himself. "This Spider-Man has powers beyond that of a normal human. He could be a valuable asset in my plans for conquest." He clasped his hands behind his back, deep in thought. "But first, I must know more about him. I cannot allow an unknown variable to threaten my rule."

With that, Doom activated a series of monitors and scanners, each focused on Spider-Man's movements. He watched as the hero battled the villain Trapster and defeated him with ease.

"Hmm, impressive," Doom mused. "He has skills, but he lacks discipline. He could be easily manipulated."

As Spider-Man swung away from the scene, Doom sat back in his throne-like chair, a plan forming in his mind. "Yes, I will keep a close eye on this Spider-Man. He could be the key to my ultimate victory."

With a small smile hidden beneath his mask, Doom turned off the monitors and disappeared into the shadows of his lab. The audience was left with a sense of foreboding, knowing that the powerful and ruthless Dr Doom was now aware of Spider-Man's existence, and had his sights set on him.

To be continued...
