" a human, out of all the the creatures in the universe, faith grants you the one you hate the most this is just too much" laughed the king
" this is not funny father"
" oh but it is. My poor son"
Eric didn't respond. He let the king have his fair share of amusement. It was a rare case he saw the side of his father. The demon king was known to be the most ruthless, cruel, and heartless being ever to exist. He could wipe out a whole town, country or even the whole of the demon realm if he so wished. You could guess where the prince got his coldness from
" what are you going to do now prince? I'm curious to know"
The only reason Eric had thought of telling his father his unwanted mate was because he didn't know what to do. So why was the king reverting the question back to him?
" I don't know" he replied honestly
The king sighed. " that wouldn't do at all. A soulmate is a bond that simply can't be ignored. It's a curse the heavens have bestowed on the royal linage of Lucifer. anything that happens to that girl affects you too"
" I'm aware father, that's why I came to you"
" and you thought I would have a solution for you?"
"Don't you?"
The handsome King smiled down at his identical son
" you have two options. You can either wait for her to die naturally which is easy since human years are rather short, or you could keep the thing as a pet"
"A pet?"
" yes, she is a rather beautiful thing isn't she prince?"
Indeed she was. But the prince didn't like referring to his soulmate by the word pet. It felt downgrading and even though humans were worthless things, the girl was his. And whatever was his shouldn't be lowered by such names
" she is beautiful "
" then that's all there is to it. Use the girl and enjoy yourself until she went really passes away. That's how your mother was anyway"
The prince held back a retort at the mention of his mother. Though he never knew the woman (she died giving birth to him) he heard she was a dark elf and lived in the far edge of the world in the mystic Forest before she came across his father. The demon king never regarded her as a wife nor did he a mother, but the elf did give birth to him so he didn't feel quite alright when the king talk so brutally of her
" so you are saying I should use her for pleasure and then leave her to die? "
The king gave him a blank look " you say it like it's such a bad thing "
The prince didn't respond.
" remember Eric, who your father is and what it is you are. As the next devil king I raised you to be the darkest and most ruthless being you could ever be, never forget your place"
" I won't "
" Good. I would hate to have to kill that friend of yours if you disappoint me"
Eric Rose to his feet without a word, giving one last bow to the King, he made his way out of the throne room

" what happened? "
He swallowed down the burning substance down his throat and try to ignore the white haired male inquisitive look
" Eric, talk to me. What exactly happened to get you so worked up like this?"
" piss off"
Damien rolled his eyes at the aggressive prince
" we've been friends since we were children Eric, you should know your harsh remarks don't work on me"
The prince glared at his protector " you want me to kill you before you'll keep quite?!"
Damien smiled at the Threat.
" you are only saying that. Now tell me what really happened "
The prince stared at him for a couple of seconds with a scornful look then he drowned another cup of alcohol and his expression relaxed considerably
" my father wants me to use my soulmate as a sex toy"
