บท 157: 22.9 Sacrifice

*CLANG! CLANG!*

After two more attempts in at least landing a graze on the fvcker, I disengaged as my arms burned from the strain of getting stonewalled nonstop. This wasn't working. I had to think of something else, or my loss would actually come true instead of being just a possible timeline.

"Rethinking your strategy then?" Renatus chuckled as he held his gauntlet up to his chest before rubbing his wrist with his other hand. "I guess I should start returning the favor, yes?"

My arms threatened to give up on me as I quickly raised my guard at the statement. If he was going to come at me, then I had to contend with his vastly superior strength again. And with the state of my body right now, I didn't think I'd be able to last for more than a few seconds of constant guarding-

"Here I come!"
