Jacob's POV:
Allison was acting strangely, and I began to doubt her intentions. I sensed she was contemplating or planning something, but I couldn't know what it was. Nevertheless, I decided to grant her the freedom to go to whatever extent she desired because I knew that whatever step she took, I'd be able to handle it very easily. Furthermore, I'd know how much courage and guts she had, considering the step she was going to take.
As she left the dining room with Jiah, I kept observing her. "Do you think she's acting weird?" I asked Enzo, resting my chin on my curled finger as my elbow landed on the table. As Enzo didn't answer, I looked at him from the corner of my eyes and observed him eating his food. Sighing, I knocked on the table and he quivered, looking up at me.
"Yeah, what?" he asked.
"I am asking you something," I retorted and he pursed his lips in embarrassment.
