The King, Erald, was stopped suddenly by Aaron's grip strength and reaction speed. "Erald, The King. You almost ran right past us with that speed of yours." Aaron told the King, causing a somewhat embarrassed expression to line Erald's face. "Heh. Sorry about that, Aaron. I haven't used that spell in such a long time, so forgive me if I got a little carried away." The King responded, causing Aaron to let out a small sigh.
"It's fine, don't worry about it," Aaron responded, letting go of Erald before he continued walking, noting that Sciat was flying in the air above his head. "Anyways, there doesn't appear to be anyone here," Aaron commented, a snow pile moving to his left. Aaron didn't notice, and as such, paid no attention to the three other snow piles that were moving around behind him. The others present just stared at the snow in shock, including Sciat, flying up in the air. "Does that mean that they're too afraid to walk out and find we'll have to find them, or has this kingdom been abandoned?" Aaron asked himself out loud, ignoring the obviously angry figure standing behind him.
"You dare speak of the Ice Wardens with such a looked-down upon the tone of voice? That is your second grave mistake. Your first is ever coming here." The figure boomed from behind him before swinging at him with its arm of hardened snow. Aaron stood there, even turning around to face the monster. The snow hit against Aaron's head, freezing upon impact. However, what froze was the Ice Warden's arm. It was so that they could deal more damage.
Aaron watched as the ice shattered against his skull, and he just laughed, watching as the Warden's arm went flying away from its body. "Nice try, Ice Warden. You can't defeat me. There's a reason why I look down upon you. You're second in power to Blood Wardens, yet I killed one of those. You don't scare me." Aaron taunted the Ice Warden, snow swirling around its body. Aaron began smiling, letting the snow swirl around him in a similar fashion, his eyes glowing a slight pink. He was prepared to fight this thing, as it didn't look like it was planning on welcoming him into the city.
Aaron unsheathed his sword, Tsuyukagiri, to accompany this movement, his body preparing itself to attack the Ice Warden and be hit in return. He planned to take his time with this, as he wanted to show Erald, the King, what he was made out of. Aaron rushed backwards, the snow turning into mid-air spikes. There were around fifty of them, and Aaron sent them all flying at the Ice Warden. The Ice Warden blocked all of the attacks, Aaron using them as a distraction for something else. He took in a deep breath, calming himself for what was to come.
He began to release Godly Energy, infusing Tsuyukagiri with his power. It may have been made out of Boundless Energy, but that and Godly Energy were not similar in the slightest. After all, nobody else but Aaron, to his knowledge, knew how to unleash said power when they were on a planet. Tsuyukagiri began to glow with an ominously purple aura, leaving a similarly-coloured trail in the air as Aaron moved Tsuyukagiri around slightly. "Now, to figure out what this can do," Aaron said to himself, watching the rampaging Ice Warden rush towards him, his newly-formed friends not too far behind him. "And we have a perfect test right here, don't we?" Aaron asked himself with a grin.
Aaron gracefully moved forward, his sword sliding through the air, leaving its purple trail behind. Aaron swung his sword through the first Ice Warden, realising how easy it was to move Tsuyukagiri through the hardened snow that the Ice Wardens were made out of. The three other Ice Wardens were no different, a trail of purple energy slicing through them as if their bodies were made out of warm butter. Aaron smiled as he did this, although he noted something strange. The aura that Tsuyukagiri emanated was stuck in the bodies of the Ice Wardens. It was like the effect had a timer or an activation requirement.
"Wow. Such a puny attack. You do know that we can just heal ourselves using the snow around us, right?" The main Ice Warden pointed out as Aaron began to chuckle. He knew that already, so why did they think he wouldn't? After all, if they can build themselves out of snow, they can remake or heal themselves using it. "Come at me. I have many more tricks up my sleeve, Ice Wardens, and that includes backup!" Aaron announced as Crystet stopped time, walking over to him with a curious look on his face. "What is that aura?" Crystet asked as Aaron shrugged. "I have no idea. It's Godly Energy, but I don't know what it does. That's why you're my backup in case anything stupid happens." Aaron explained. "Fair enough. I would use ice if I had access to it, but I haven't been able to make any, ever since we left my planet." Crystet responded, his TimeStop ending at his command, leaving Aaron to wonder how he could fix that.
Sciat descended from the sky, his wings blowing the air around them away as if it was a physical object. A sword appeared in his hand. It was a regular longsword, but the fact that it just appeared out of thin air was the intimidating part about Crystet, besides his appearance. The Ice Wardens looked at Aaron, snarling as Erald slowly walked towards Aaron, wind kicking at his heels. They all got prepared, the sound of wind blowing through the air and snow flying through the updraft. Aaron smiled, preparing himself to lunge forward, his hand gripping Tsuyukagiri as hard as he could, preparing to carve them into multiple.
Each of them prepared themselves for an attack, and the Ice Wardens struck first, but what happened next was something none of them had expected.
Sorry about this. I didn't get the chance to publish my chapter yesterday and then it deleted itself :(
