บท 23: He was summoned
Aurora gasped then turned around to stare at Xavier with wide eyes. He was wearing his usual clothes and looked somewhat homeless but his Majestic beauty couldn't be hidden behind his baggy clothes.
"Xavier? What are you doing here?" She questioned in shock while he just smiled.
"You wanted me here and I came. Shouldn't you be happy?" She gasped. She hadn't believed that she could summon him. How? She didn't even know how she did it.
"Aurora, who is this?" Steven's voice sounded behind her, bringing her attention back to him.
She turned to him with wide eyes then scratched the back of her head. How was she supposed to introduce Xavier?
"Erm, this is Xavier, my friend" Steven furrowed his eyebrows then glanced at Xavier.
"I didn't know you had friends?" She scoffed.
"Why is everyone surprised that I have a friend like this?" Steven turned to her and shook his head before grabbing her hand.
"No I didn't mean it like that. I just didn't know you had friends but I'm glad you do. Nice to meet you, Xavier" Steven outstretched his hand towards Xavier but Xavier just trailed his eyes down his body then scoffed and turned away which made Steven frown as he redrew his hand.
Aurora glanced between them then let out a nervous laugh. The man she liked and the man she was trying to like being in front of her this way was messing with her head.
"He doesn't really like new people or people in general so don't mind him. Xavier, why don't you go back? I have a date with Steven right now" Xavier shook his head then folded his arm.
"I don't care and I won't trouble you both. I finally have this opportunity to breath fresh air and I'm not going back into that cave"
"Cave?" Steven questioned with confusion written all over his face. She turned to him with wide eyes then chuckled awkwardly.
"Erm he has this habit of calling his house a cave so don't think too much about it. Xavier, can I talk to you for a second? Alone?" He shook his head but she rolled her eyes and dragged him away.
Steven stared at them as they walked away with a frown then his eyes widened when he saw the stave sticking out of Xavier's side. What the?
"What are you trying to do, Xavier? Please leave" Aurora muttered when they were far away from Steven.
"No" She sighed then ran her fingers through her hair.
"Why? I'm on a date right now and I don't need your presence here" Xavier tilted his head.
"You were the one who summoned me here little wolf so I beg to differ but you wanted me here and I was serious when I said I didn't want you getting over me, little wolf" Her heart thumped in her chest as she stared into his eyes. She couldn't read him so she couldn't tell if he was being sincere or not.
"Xavier, please. Let's not do this right now. As I don't even know why you're doing this because I know you don't like me that way so why are you doing this to me?" He stared at her for a while but before he could say anything, Aurora heard a loud shriek from behind them and Veronica came running with a wide smile on her face.
"Aurora, aren't you going to introduce me to your friend?" She questioned as she stood so close to Xavier without even giving me breathing space which made Aurora frown.
"Erm Xavier, this is my sister, Veronica…"
"Elder sister. I know I look young but I'm almost twenty one" Veronica interjected with her sickly sweet voice which made Aurora almost want to puke.
"Uhh yeah, my elder sister and this is Xavier, my friend" Veronica smiled then grabbed onto his hand.
"It's nice to meet you again, Xavier. We have met before but you really didn't notice me so I decided to introduce myself this time" Xavier eyes trailed down to her hand holding his and his eyes suddenly turned cold.
"I'll give you five seconds to get your hand off me or else, I'll make sure you never get to use that hand ever again" His voice was low and calm but the threat and warning behind it was evident.
Veronica immediately removed her hand from his then jumped away in shock before glancing at Aurora who was trying her best to hold her laugh in.
"I'm sorry… I'm sorry for touching you and I think we got off on the wrong foot. I'll try not to touch you next time because I know many people don't like that" Aurora rolled her eyes. Couldn't Veronica get the hint.
"Why don't we hang out a little and you'd get to know that I'm not that bad, huh?" Veronica was still trying even though Xavier looked bored as hell. He wasn't even answering her and didn't seem like he would be answering her anytime soon but she couldn't let such a fine specimen get away from her.
Aurora suddenly grabbed Xavier's hand and stood in front of him.
"Sorry but we have to run. I have a date and Xavier is accompanying me" Veronica frowned when she saw that Aurora was holding his hand and he wasn't pushing her away. In fact, he was holding onto her hand tighter.
What the heck was going on? This man had to be stupid if he preferred Aurora to her! But she wasn't going to give up and lose to her younger sister.
"I can come with you guys and keep Xavier busy while you're on your date, right? Do you want that, Xavier?" He didn't say anything and just kept at Aurora like he was waiting for what she would say.
"O…. Okay" Aurora muttered then stormed away angrily which made Veronica giggle.
"What's up her butt? Do you know my sister has a crush on you? I told her she had no Chance with you and she should get over it" Veronica cheeks turned red as Xavier's eyes trailed down her body. Was he checking her out?
"She has more of a chance than you do because I would never pick the less attractive sister"...
