บท 12: CHAPTER 12
The alarm clock hummed loudly and Laura woke up from her sleep.
"Seven o clock". She said to herself, wishing she could go back to sleep.
Then there was a knock on the door.
"Good morning Laura". Said Mrs. Bullock, entering the room.
"Good morning".
"Rise and shine sleepyhead, today is Friday". She said, walking towards the curtain and opening it.
"Thanks". She said, murmuring.
"So it's seven already, I and my husband are on the way to the airport".
"Alright". She said, sitting up on the bed.
"So here's a list of things you will do". She said, handling over a sheet of paper to Laura.
"Okay, I got it". She said, looking at it thoroughly and placing it aside on the drawer.
"So that's all, then I left some amount of money on the table in the living room in case you and Joshua need to get something, anything".
"Alright, thanks".
Laura laid back on the bed and Mrs. Bullock stepped out of the room.

Sally Sanders sat in the classroom, on her desk was a long note, a pen and a history textbook. She looked over her wrist watch, it was 8:15.
"So who can tell me what we discussed in the last class". Said a female teacher, tall in stature, dressed in a white gown and a black jacket.
"Me". Said a petite looking girl dressed in red gown.
"Yes Amanda, please stand up and tell the class".
"So what we discussed in history was Abraham Lincoln's----".
In a flash, the sound of a soft feminine voice disrupted the conversation, as everyone in the classroom turned their heads around in disbelief.
"Hello Sally". Said the voice.
"Not now, I'm in class". Said Sally, bending her head over and whispering into her black schoolbag.
"I know Sally but I've missed you".
"You got something that you want to share Sally". Said Mrs. Kate
"No, there's nothing I want to say, I mean share".
"Then who were you talking to".
"No one".
"But I thought I heard you tal---"
"I know who she was talking to, herself because Sally is a loser". Said Aria.
"That's enough class".
A burst of laughter erupted from the class as someone from the back threw a piece of paper over to sally.
"That's enough, class". Said the teacher, raising her voice. "Anyone that laughs again will get a detention". In an instant, the classroom became silent. "Now what were we saying, oh yes, Amanda, please continue".
"Nice one, you almost got me a detention, I said don't talk when I'm in classes". Said Sally, carrying her black schoolbag up and whispering into it.
"I'm sorry my friend". Said the voice, responding very upset. "I'll never do th—".
"Sally put your schoolbag aside and pay attention to what Amanda is saying".
"I'm sorry Mrs. Kate, I was just looking for my jotter".

"Aunty Laura, what's for breakfast". Said Joshua.
"Hmm, let's see, there's milk, cornflakes and other cereals here", she said, opening the cabinet one by one. "How about this one". She said, holding a pack of Kellogg's rice Krispies in her right hand.
"I don't want us to eat kripsies, I want pancakes".
"Okay, let's see, there's milk, sugar, but ooh, there's no flour". She said, walking around the kitchen and touching some ingredients. "So let's eat rice Krispies". She said, bending down over to Joshua".
"No I want that one". He said, pointing at the left corner of the cabinet.
"You mean this one". She said, walking over to the right corner of the cabinet. "Honey nut Cheerios".
"Yes".
"My favorite too, so why don't you head over to the dinning table, just sit there I'll come meet you with the milk and the cereal".
"Okay".
Laura walked to the side of the cabinet, opened the drawer and bought out two small sized plates and two spoons, she closed it back, walked towards the cabinet and brought out the milk and the honey nut Cheerios, she held them around her arms and walked towards the dinning.
"So I'm right here". She said, putting down the plates, milk and the honey nut Cheerios on the dinning table. She poured the cereal on the two small sized plates simultaneously, then she poured the liquid milk on both plates.
"Here you go". She said, pushing the plate over to him.
"Thank you". He said, putting the spoon into the cereal as he began to eat.
"So I forgot something upstairs, I want to go and get it, I'm coming".
"Okay". Said Joshua, nodding his head.
Laura climbed the stairs and headed to the room.
"I've not even gone through the list that she gave me, now where did I put that list". She said, looking over the room. "There I found it, just right here on this drawer". She said walking towards the drawer. "Okay, so the list of things are clean the house, feed the fish, take Joshua for a walk, buy groceries like flour, salt, eggs, baking powd---".
In an instant, she was interrupted by what sounded like a female voice from the Pokémon series.
"Hello". Said a soft feminine voice.
"Huh, Joshua are you here?, Do you need something, I said I'm coming, I'll be right downsta---".
"I'm not Joshua".
"I don't understand, then who are you?, How did you come in?".
"I'm right here".
"O my God, I must be losing my mind". She said, in shock.
"No you're not".
"Wait a second, your voice sounds like the person that was talking to me in my home".
"Yes".
"Oh my God, so you have been stalking me, watching my every movement is that it, what are you?, Some sick freak, I'm calling the cops, I'm very sure you're spying on me at this very moment". She said, turning around hastily.
"I'm right here".
"Where are you?".
"Look to your left".
She looked over to her left and saw her phone, it beamed a red color from the screen.
"I'm here". Said the Voice.
"But I don't understand, how can my phone be talking". She said, walking towards her phone and picking it up from the bed.
"See Laura I'm real".
"Wait how do you even know my name".
"I know, even your brother Zach".
"O my God, now I'm getting creeped out". She said, in shock.
"Don't be".
"So you can talk". She said.
"Yes I can talk, I'm from the game".
"Wow, a talking game, that's cool".
"You are my best friend".
"Wow, that's reall---".
In an instant, there was a knock on the door as it interrupted their conversation.
"Aunt Laura, it's Joshua". He said, as his voice echoed out from the door.
"Come in".
"The postman is at the door, he's holding all this mail". Said Joshua, staring his head halfway through the door.
"Okay, just give me a second, I'll be downstairs".
"Alright".
"Wow, a talking game, I've never heard of it, it's cool but it's kind of creepy". She said, staring vaguely at the phone. "I better call my brother later and see if he's had any experience with this game". She said, dropping the phone back on the bed.

"The game is amazing". Said Zach.
"I know Zach, that's why I love you". said the voice.
"I've finally gotten to episode four where this lady is trapped in the woods, like a forest".
"Yes".
In the screen displayed what looked like a green forest, a lady stood up from the floor of the forest and the screen displayed HELP ME, I'M TRAPPED IN THE FOREST, I DON'T KNOW HOW I CAME HERE, HELP ME GET OUT.
Zach moved the character's direction around the forest, the screen read PROTECT ME FROM MONSTERS, then in an instance, a monstrous voice sounded, YOU HAVE TO HIDE ME, ITS COMING, was displayed on the screen, Jack saw a red arrow pointing at the screen, HIDE IN HERE. Zach moved the character into the tree and a monster like the size of an ogre with sharp teeth, long hands and fingers that resembled a fork with a thirst for blood hastily ran around the woods, looking for the character to eat, then it left. The lady came out from the tree, THANK YOU, NOW HELP ME FIND THE WAY OUT, Zach checked the timer on the screen, it read 7:50.
"I still have time", he said.
Zach moved the character around the woods, wavering in different directions, YOU ARE ALMOST EXITING THE FOREST, KEEP GOING FORWARD, was displayed on the screen. All of a sudden, a cabin displayed itself, ENTER INTO THE CABIN, THE MONSTER IS COMING, read the inscription on the screen. Zach moved the lady's direction into the cabin, QUICK HIDE UNDER THE BED was displayed on the screen. The character hid under the bed, then the monster walked violently into the room, searching for the lady as it walked around the room hastily then it left the room. The character came up from the bed and walked out of the cabin. KEEP WALKING FORWARDS was displayed on the screen. Zach moved the lady forward to the woods, WE ARE AT THE EXIT POINT, BUILD A STAIRCASE WITH A ROPE AND WOOD was displayed on the screen. Zach clicked on the tools section and he saw a variety of objects, he clicked on rope, nail, hammer and wood, BUY FOR 45 COINS, was displayed on the screen, he clicked on the buy button and they were purchased, he clicked on the timer, it displayed 2:45. "I don't have much time left on the screen". He said, feeling anxious.
The character began to build the bridge with the items. DONE, YOU CAN NOW EXIT OUT OF THE FOREST, was displayed on the screen, as the character walked through the bridge and left the forest, SUCCESSFULLY FINISHED EPISODE FOUR popped out on the screen. Then a puzzle emerged to the surface, PLEASE PLAY THE PUZZLE TO ENTER EPISODE FIVE, was displayed on the screen, Zach played the puzzle as the puzzle was in form of a movie theme, "I know this one, Dwayne Johnson, Jolie, captain America, Beyoncé's dream girl's". He said, typing the words hastily into each piece of the puzzle. SUCCESSFUL, YOU HAVE FINISHED THE PUZZLE, EPISODE FIVE IS OPEN.
"I know you are enjoying the game, Zach ".
"I know my friend, I never got to know your name, so what's your name? ". He said, with his hands going simultaneously all over the phone.
"Keep playing the game and you will find out".

Laura sat on Mrs. Bullock bed staring at the photobooks at her hands. She opened the pages one by one simultaneously and looked at it over for a moment.
"This is me and Zach when we were young, I was like 8 and Zack was 6".
She turned over to the next picture, it was her and Mrs. Bullock standing in the park, and over to the next picture, it was her and four of her sophomore mates, back in high school, and the next was her and Mr. Bullock posing together in high school as she was dressed in a cheerleader's outfit.
"God, I missed the good old days when I was in high school".
She turned over to the next picture and it was her, Zach with a monkey toy in his arms, Mr. and Mrs. Bullock in a circus park.
"I remember when Zach had won this doll, he was so happy".
She turned over to the last picture and it was a photo of her dressed in a graduation gown, with Zach, Mr. and Mrs. Bullock with her friends all dressed in a graduation gown in the school.
"And that was the last time I even stepped foot to Jefferson high school". She said smiling.
After she was done with the photobooks, she put them back into the drawer and brought out some videos from the down part of the drawer.
"I've been looking for these videos before I left, I never knew that this was where she kept them". She said taking a napkin from the top of the drawer and cleaning them one by one as dust covered the videos. "I'll watch them later but right now, I still have to go to the supermarket and buy the groceries, still have to clean the bathr---".
She was interrupted by her phone as it rang, she checked the screen and it was Mr. Bullock.
"Hello".
"Hello Laura, how are you?".
"I'm fine".
"How's everything".
"Everything is okay".
"How's Joshua".
"He's fine, he's in his room".
"How's everything going on at home".
"It's going well, the postman stopped by at the house, gave me all these mails, so I signed the paper".
"Oh yes, I've been expecting those mails since last week, I don't know why it took long, it's about those electricity and other utility bill".
"Oh right, So how's New York".
"Its good".
"How was your conference meeting".
"It went on well, it was fine, we still have another meeting tommorow".
"How's Mrs. Bullock".
"She's fine, she's in the hotel room".
"Okay, greet her for me, tell her I'm missing her".
"So how's it been all these years".
"It hasn't been easy, but with time, it got better".
"Oh I see, hope there's no problem, everything is going on well?, Right".
"Yes everything is going on well".
"The list of things that my wife wrote down, hope it's not too tough".
"No it's not, I'm almost done with the to do list".
"Alright, that's great, So my wife will call you later on but I don't know when, so take of your self and take care of Joshua for us".
"Yes, I will".
The phone call hanged up on the other end. There was a knock on the door.
"Come in".
"Aunt Laura, the pizza delivery guy is downstairs". Said Joshua, popping his head halfway into the room.
"Okay just give a moment, then later we are going to the supermarket, there's no flour and other items to make the pancakes".
"Alright".
"So just wait for me downstairs". She said, packing the videos into her arms.
Laura sat for a moment on the bed then stood up and went downstairs.

Jack checked his wrist watch, it was 3 o clock. "So far, So good, What are the reviews from the players about the game". He said, dressed in a suit.
"The reviews are good, the people love the game, it's positive, there hasn't been any complains so far".
"Perfect, then down to the software and engineering team, have you been doing the rerun to see if there are any bugs or issues".
"Yes sir, we've done that, no bugs in the game that needs fixing".
"Nicely done, nice work all of you, you can all go back to your various positions".
"Thanks Sir". Responded the crowd in unison as there was a bit of relief.
Jack climbed up the stairs on his way to his office, in an instant, he felt a hand touching his back.
"Who's this". He said, looking back, there was no one.
He kept walking the stairs and suddenly, he heard a tough nasal masculine voice calling his name.
"Jack", Said the Voice.
"Who's messing with me". He said, looking around. He looked around but there was no one. "I have to go use the restroom".
Jack walked straight down to the restroom that displayed the image of MEN ONLY drawn on the door. He entered and looked at his face on the mirror, In a flash, he saw a dark figure staring at him at the back. He looked back but the figure disappeared.
"I must be hallucinating, I need to leave here ASAP". He said, walking straight down to the last toilet.
Jack stood for a moment, as he was about to unzip, he heard a knock, it was a violent knock, as it sounded and knocked on all the doors In the restroom.
"Who's there, you making noise". He said, arrogantly.
Suddenly the lights started to flicker and he heard the laughter of a girl echoing over the place.
"Did someone bring in a visitor?, Oh these people they know the rules, no ladies or men using the opposite sex toilet". He said to himself.
Suddenly the knock became louder.
"Oh, Mr. Jack, come and play the game". Said the voice of a little girl.
Suddenly he heard loud footsteps coming from afar, as the footsteps walked further and it stopped as it got to where he was. Then in a flash, he saw blood, drips and pool of blood coming into the toilet, as he looked down, he saw blood over the floor and on his hands. He became shocked and terrified at the moment as his heart started to beat faster.
"O Mr. Jack, come out and play the game".
"I'm not playing the game". He said feeling scared.
In an instant, all the hairs in his body began to stand up as he began to have goosebumps all over his body
"But you are my best friend".
"No, I don't know what you are, leave me alone".
Suddenly, the handle of the door started to shake violently.
"O my God".
"Mr. jack, I can never leave you, let us play". Said the voice. The voice that sounded like a sweet little girl started to turn gradually into a deep strange voice.
"Mr. Jack, you can never hide yourself from me". Said the voice. The door opened and he saw what looked like a little girl with blood running all over her eyes, covered in blood, it transformed into a dark strange figure with no eyes and sharp teeth, with it's hands and fingers as sharp and long as a fork with black skin.
"Aaaaaah". He screamed to himself, as he used his hands to cover his face
He removed his hands from his face and looked around, everything was back to normal, then he stepped out of the toilet and looked around simultaneously, the atmosphere was calm like nothing happened. Then he went back into the toilet and eased himself.
"I need to get out of here and end this, this was never what I wanted, never what I bargained for". He said, coming out of the restroom.
