Serene's POV

" That's for hurting Zeph, you bitch." I spat in her face. The slap left its imprint on her shocked face. For a fleeting moment, I saw terror in her eyes but it passed as swiftly as it had come. Everyone around me looked on with a mixture of shock and amusement.

After that everything happened in slow motion. She lunged toward me like a feral animal, her eyes changed and soon her whole body began to shift into her wolf form. Zilver grabbed me and pulled me back, using his body as a shield to cover me. Everyone around Lourden stepped away from her as she shredded her clothes and turned into a werewolf. Her hateful eyes fixated on me, ready to lunge and tear me apart.
