'Nearsightedness, cured just like that?'

Bruce stared in disbelief at Helen, who was covering her mouth, laughing softly. He was at a loss for words.

Nearsightedness may not be a serious condition, but it's practically impossible to cure without surgery. Even surgery isn't perfect and can cause irreversible damage to the eye. That's why many people with nearsightedness opt not to undergo the procedure.

But here, Bruce's nearsightedness had been cured simply by Helen touching his hand. Nothing more. Immediate results, no waiting. This was nothing short of miraculous.

Bruce was left utterly speechless.

"So... the Devil Fruits are real? And the abilities you possess, they're real too?"

After a long silence, Bruce finally murmured, staring at Helen in shock. Even though he still found it hard to believe, the undeniable facts in front of him left Bruce with no choice but to accept it.

Helen had been telling the truth.

"Bruce, I've been saying this all along." Helen's face lit up with a proud smile.

"But why did you say my body has no other issues? That can't be right," Bruce suddenly became agitated. Ordinary medical treatments couldn't fix his condition, so how could this miraculous power fail to help him?

What hope was left for him?

"Bruce, whatever you've been through, whatever made you think your body has issues, it's all in your head," Helen responded confidently. "I can assure you, you're perfectly healthy!"

"No, Helen, you don't understand," Bruce shook his head. Every time he got angry, he transformed into a mindless monster, smashing everything in sight. How could that not be a problem? That was a massive issue—an issue that had ruined his life.

"Are you saying you suspect genetic mutations? Some kind of anomaly?" Helen asked, recalling past discussions she'd had with Bruce. It seemed like a logical conclusion.

"It's not that simple, but… in a way, yes," Bruce thought momentarily and gave a somewhat vague explanation.

"Got it." Helen nodded, understanding the gist of his concern. "Bruce, you don't need to worry. Genetic mutations aren't always harmful. Sometimes, they're beneficial. From my perspective, no matter what mutations you have, it's not a disease."

Bruce was left speechless.

'Hulk isn't a disease?'

He couldn't accept that. In his mind, Hulk was a curse that had ruined his life, a sickness he was desperate to cure.

"Helen, maybe you're right. From a medical standpoint, it's hard to classify my condition as a disease... but regardless, thank you," Bruce said, his voice tinged with frustration and disappointment.

When Helen told him she had discovered a new method, he'd been hopeful. But once again, his hopes were crushed.

"Thank you for your time, Helen, but... I need to go."

Now that it was clear Helen couldn't cure him, Bruce quickly decided it was time to leave. He couldn't risk staying any longer; the longer he stayed, the more likely it was that his enemies, including his relentless pursuers, could track him down, dragging Helen into his mess.

"Bruce, what's really going on?" Helen asked, frowning, genuinely concerned. "Maybe I can help you."

"Helen, thank you, but this is something you can't help with," Bruce replied, his tone serious. "And please, don't tell anyone I was here." With that, Bruce turned and swiftly headed for the door.

"Hey, Bruce!" Helen called after him. "I don't know what you're dealing with or what answers you're looking for, but maybe you should check out the Devil Fruit shop."

"I don't know if anyone can help you, but if someone can, that's the place to start."

'The Devil Fruit shop?' Bruce's eyes flickered with renewed interest.

At the Devil Fruit Shop

"Boss, I'm going to chase my dreams now. Wish me luck! If the response is good, they'll cast me in the commercial! They've already promised!"

"My path to stardom is just around the corner! Green Lantern, here I come!" With the shop relatively quiet, Rosh was lazily chatting with Deadpool.

Thinking about Deadpool's upcoming journey and his plans to market face masks, Rosh found himself quite intrigued. Green Lantern—now that was a film Deadpool famously regretted so much that he even used a time machine to go back and shoot his younger self. And yet, here he was, so eager about it.

"Go for it, Wade! You can do it!" Rosh quickly responded. "Your skin is the most perfect in the world. Own it!"

"Exactly, boss! I've learned that the hard way. Honestly, I wear a mask when I go out nowadays."

"Because if I don't, countless people stop me asking how I take care of my skin, what face masks I use, blah blah blah. It's exhausting!"

"As they say, the woes of being an exceptional man are not easy for others to understand."

"But I'm sure you get it, boss."

'Ah, Wade is learning how to flatter people now.'' Rosh was quite pleased with that.

He was about to banter more with Deadpool when the door chime rang, signaling the arrival of a new customer.

"Gotta go, Wade. Got a customer," Rosh quickly sent a voice message before putting his phone down and preparing to greet the newcomer.

But as he looked up, he froze in place.

'No way, it's the Hulk!'

'No wait, wrong guy, it's Bruce Banner!'

'This guy was one of the top-tier powerhouses in the Marvel universe. His fists had pummeled Thor and Loki with relentless force. This guy is definitely a god-tier character.'

However, Rosh hadn't expected someone like Bruce to walk through his door.

"Hello, welcome to the shop!" Rosh stepped out from behind the counter, greeting Bruce with a friendly smile.
