บท 39: No place to go

My eyes widened like saucers as I gave the females a look.

I facepalmed.

What have I gotten myself into?

I not only got married to the devil, but the said Devil has a harem of beautiful wives.

And that made me wonder why he took me as a husband if he has this many wives?

"Are you shocked?" Bel smiled at me, "it's a normal reaction among the wives. The only one who didn't have such a reaction is Dusa.

She was the first wife he brought to the Palace."

"Where is she now?" I asked, hoping she might be dead. At least, it'll cut down the number of wives the devil has.

" In her chambers. Dusa hardly makes an appearance." Bel shivered as she said those words.

"I can see you are well enough to take a walk. Come, I'll show you to your room."

The girls gasped at the devil's words. Their eyes, that were already widened, became more pronounced.

"I think I'll stay here." I smile, but that's not what I want to do now.

I wish to run away, screaming like a deranged person.
