Emma was laying there on the bed like a statue, while the doctor nag at them, talking about how Max isn't healthy for that now.

Max pretends to not notice her daze state.

He didn't bother to tell her to get up and just spoke with the doctor.

"I'm alright now. I will go home with my woman now. She was so worried." Max said and Emma blinked again.

Her heart felt like it would jump from her chest.

It wasn't about mission or anything, but pure worry that he must have got hurt.

She quickly stopped the doctor by asking him to hold on.
