Fenris faintly smiled. "I sent Rodnir to many envoy missions among the southern countries. I used those opportunities to explore the shores opposite ours. The sights were not as bountiful, but I saw how big the world was compared to what I knew. However, that was not the best part of those secret adventures. It was coming home to a few people who didn't see me as a king they must serve.
"I know you liked Rodnir enough to care for him after his parents surrendered him to our care. Your welcome is too addictive." Fenris sighed, making sense of his feelings. "However, I can only have it as Rodnir since 'Fenris' must never step out of the island."
"The last two times you left as Fenris… I failed to welcome you like so…" Melaka murmured. Her hands trembled. She gave up. The feeling was quite bitter… yet liberating.
