Hemeri slowly withdrew his hands from his right-hand man when he heard the answer he dreaded.

Nicias Selimi was dead? Then... his cousin indeed crossed his mind but one unresolved thing from the past troubled him even more.

"I told you that making sure to bring him to the capital should be your priority. I told you to cover for him," he muttered and looked at Andry once again. "Why? Why didn't you listen to me and allow this to happen?!"

With the yelling accompanied by the sudden movement of his body, Hemeri Van Hale felt the pain surging in his back and the dryness of his throat ended up making him cough.
