บท 13: Hospital

Lydia was on her way to the hospital with her boyfriend Jackson. Lydia was in the driver's seat, carefully navigating the road, while Jackson sat in the passenger seat due to his bruised arm. They engaged in a small conversation during the drive.

"I don't know why we have to take you to the hospital; it's just a bruise," Lydia remarked, her eyes focused on the road.

"It's not just a bruise," Jackson replied, his voice carrying a hint of frustration.

"Okay, okay... you don't have to be so aggressive about it," Lydia conceded, glancing at Jackson briefly.

Jackson tilted his head and looked at Lydia, a mischievous smile playing on his lips. "Besides, if I don't play, who's gonna make the team win... hmm... Scott McCall... or what was his name again... Michael?" he said, his tone carrying a touch of arrogance.

Lydia shrugged her shoulders with a hmph before smiling, however, Jackson's frown at her reaction. Soon enough, they arrived at the hospital.

"Finally, we're here..." Lydia said, relieved. She paused for a second before Jackson asked, "What?"

Pointing towards a parked car, Lydia tilted her head and said, "I wonder whose car that is."

Jackson, momentarily confused, asked, "What car?" He followed her gaze and his expression turned to one of shock. "Is that a Lamborghini Gallardo?" he exclaimed, his eyes widening.

Time skip:

Errica's POV:

I woke up to find Michael standing by my bedside, a weak smile playing on my lips. "Michael, what are you doing here?" I asked, my voice barely audible.

He smiled back at me, his eyes filled with warmth, as he walked over and sat beside me. In his hand, he held a box of chocolates. "I hope you like chocolate," he said gently.

"What?" I said, my voice tinged with surprise, my eyes drawn to the box he held in his hand. "You didn't have to."

He shook his head slightly. "No, it's nothing... didn't even touch my account a bit," he replied, placing the box of chocolates on the table beside me.

Curiosity piqued, I couldn't help but ask, "What are you doing here?"

Michael turned his gaze towards me, his eyes piercing my soul. Leaning closer, he made my heart skip a beat, and I instinctively leaned back, feeling a blush forming on my face.

In a low tone that only I could hear, he asked, "So, are you going to tell me what's truly wrong with you this time?"

Lowering my head, I took a deep breath before speaking to Michael in a whisper. "It's not because I'm fat," I began, my voice barely audible. "I'm not really fat. I just wear baggy clothes to give off that image." A low chuckle escaped my lips, still facing down. "But I don't have to tell you that because you can already see."

Michael looked at me intently, his gaze filled with understanding. "I see more than just appearances, Errica," he said softly. "Please, tell me what's really going on."

Tears welled up in my eyes as I mustered the courage to reveal the truth. "The real reason people bully me is because of my epilepsy," I confessed, my voice trembling. "I have severe seizures, and it scares people away. Those who don't stay away just use it as another reason to torment me."

The weight of my words hung heavy in the air, and I couldn't hold back my tears any longer. I wept, rubbing my eyes, feeling the overwhelming despair I had been carrying inside.

Michael gently wiped away my tears with one of his hands, offering comfort. "I can help you," he said, his voice filled with sincerity.

I looked up at him, my vision blurred by tears, searching for any sign of hope. "How?" I managed to ask, my voice quivering.

His eyes started to glow with a soft, caring light as he revealed his secret. "I have powers as a werewolf," he whispered. "I can take away your pain, give you strength, and make it all go away. But in doing so, you'll have to give up your humanity."

My eyes widened in surprise and uncertainty. The thought of such a choice left me speechless, my heart torn between the desire for relief and the fear of losing who I am.

Sensing my hesitation, Michael moved back slightly, giving me space. "It's your choice," he said gently, his voice comforting yet tinged with anticipation.

A shiver ran down my spine as his words echoed in my ears. Time seemed to slow down as I contemplated the weight of his offer. I looked at him, determination shining through my tears, and nodded.

A smile formed on Michael's face as he saw my resolve. He reached out, his hand that had been grazing my cheek now resting at the back of my neck. His eyes glowed with a deep and vibrant red as he leaned closer, bitting my neck. I could then feel his free hand on my leg moving upwards, I then place both of my arms around him pulling him closer.

Meanwhile

Scott and Stiles could be seen walking in the hospital, their steps echoing through the corridors. As they made their way, they engaged in a brief conversation.

Scott glanced around and said, "It's gotta be here."

Stiles nodded, his brow furrowing. "What, the other half of the body... can you smell it?"

Scott's eyes narrowed in concentration. "Yes... You stay here, I'll go check it out."

Stiles nodded and watched as Scott walked off, following the scent. Just as he turned, his eyes fell upon Lydia, causing surprise and nervousness to wash over him. Summoning his courage, Stiles approached her.

"Hey," Stiles greeted her, trying to sound casual.

Lydia looked up at him, a smile gracing her lips. Stiles couldn't help but feel his heart skip a beat. "Hi," she replied warmly.

Stiles took a deep breath, gathering his thoughts. "So, how's it going? Everything okay?"

Lydia continued to smile, but remained silent. Stiles felt a mix of anticipation and nervousness building up. "Look... I've been meaning to tell you... I've liked you since the 3rd grade."

Lydia looked at him, still smiling, but not saying a word. Stiles shook his hand in front of her, growing slightly exasperated. "Wait, are you even listening?"

With a hint of confusion, Lydia pulled out her earphones and tilted her head. "What?" she asked, genuinely puzzled.

Stiles sighed, his voice lowering to a whisper. "Of course, you weren't listening."

Just then, Scott returned, breaking the tension. He approached the pair and said to Stiles, "I found it, let's go."

Relieved, Stiles nodded and turned to Lydia. "Well, I guess we'll talk later. See you, Lydia."

Lydia, still smiling, watched them leave.

A couple of minutes later, Jackson could be seen walking up to Lydia. As he approached her, Lydia stood up, noticing his presence. She looked at him and said, "How did it go?"

Lydia ran her finger lightly across his chest and smirked. "You think you'll be able to play the game Saturday night... huh?"

Jackson sighed and replied, "I hope so."

They exchanged a knowing glance before leaving the hospital together. As they walked away, a door opened, and Michael emerged. He made his way out the hospital towards the parking lot, as he was about to open his car door, he caught sight of the nice lady who had helped him find Errica's room earlier, experiencing car troubles. Melissa, who had been waiting by her car nearby, sighed and muttered under her breath, "Not again ",as she tried to figure what could be wrong with her car this time . Suddenly, a black car pulled up beside Melissa, catching her attention.

---------------------

Melissa (Scott's mom) was thinking to herself, "Wow, now that's a car... I wonder who could be driving it," as she admired the sleek black Lamborghini in front of her. Just then, the window on the Lamborghini rolled down, revealing a familiar face inside. It was the handsome guy named Michael, and he called out to her, "Do you want a ride?"

Surprised, Melissa replied, "I mean, if it's no trouble." Michael smiled and opened the car door in response. Melissa stepped into the car, still a bit in awe, and said once again, "Are you sure it's no trouble?"

Michael smiled back and said, "I can't leave a beautiful lady like you standing in the cold." Melissa blushed slightly at the compliment and replied, "Wow... I see you know how to flatter."

Michael looked at her with a playful expression before revving the engine, causing the car to emit a powerful VROOOOM! Melissa yelped in surprise but quickly regained her composure, saying, "Okay, okay, calm down, cowboy."

With a smile, Michael accelerated the car out of the parking lot, and soon they were cruising down the road. We'll fast forward to Melissa's doorstep, where she sat laughing and smiling, thoroughly enjoying the ride. She said, "You're a good driver... maybe next time I'll have you take me to work."

Michael chuckled and replied, "Sure, here's my number." He handed her a piece of paper with his contact information before waving goodbye and driving off. Melissa watched him leave, thinking to herself, "What a stud... if only I were younger," before sighing.
