บท 10: Sanctuary's dungeon
When Eli entered the dungeon, the portal behind her disappeared. She realized that if she wanted to return, she would have to finish this dungeon.
"I can do this," she told herself and looked around.
The forest had large trees that were as big as the tallest buildings in the city and bushes everywhere. There was a large tree house hanging from a high branch. 'I guess they want us to climb there.' Eli wondered, then her lips curved into a smile as wings appeared on her back.
"Sike!" she jumped and flew towards the tree house located high in the tree. The moment she touched the roof of the house, she heard growling from inside. She put a hand on her dagger and held it ready. 'I can't see.'
After a while, a goblin crawled out of one of the windows. "Grahhhhh!" He tried to scare her, but Eli quickly cut him down with her blade.
Suddenly, she saw a notification window in front of her.
[Requirements were met: Killing 1 monster.]
"Huh?" Eli was startled by the notification window that she almost dropped her dagger. "What is this?" she asked herself confusedly as she scanned the message again and noticed that the requirements were killing just ONE monster!
*Ping*
[Sinful Angel system is being activated. Do you wish to connect? Y/N*]
Eli nodded without thinking and answered affirmatively after looking at the notification. 'Is this one of the powers I gained from that angel?' she wondered to herself before clicking with her finger on the Yes prompt.
Eli felt an electric shock through her body when Sinful Angel's power took effect, 'What... happened?' she thought, then suddenly her entire vision turned white, followed by darkness. It was like everything was covered in a thick fog. Then, all of a sudden, everything became clear once more, except for a black veil covering her eyes. 'Did something happen?'
[Sinful angel system activated. You received 10 exp points.]
"Huh?"
[Sinful angel system allows you to level up whenever you commit a sinful or benevolent act. Your stats will increase according to your actions (you cannot receive stat increases from other means). Stat increases are cumulative. You can gain access to special angelic abilities if you reach certain levels and accumulate enough sinful experience points. You'll receive additional quests based on these requirements as well as instructions on how to achieve them. The number of sins you committed and the amount of EXP earned determines which skills become available for use. After completing a few missions successfully, new skill trees open up. If you keep accumulating experience by committing sinful or benevolent acts, you may eventually earn a Dark or Heavenly rank. Please be aware that there is no going back after earning this title, so choose carefully who you want to associate with in your journey towards good or bad.]

"Those stats don't look too good..." Eli scratched her head. "At least I know that my mana is decent." her daydream didn't last forever as she noticed that another goblin was climbing through the window onto the roof. The goblin used its daggers to slice at the wooden walls and slowly make his way closer to Eli.
Eli created a fireball and shot it at the goblin, making a loud explosion that sent bits of wood flying everywhere while the goblin got caught on some of those pieces of wood.
The goblin managed to pull himself up without falling, but it still lost a hand in the explosion. However, instead of running away like any sane creature would do when wounded, he stood up straight with one remaining arm. He growled loudly as he pointed its dagger at Eli. "GRAAAAAAAH!!!"
Eli threw another fireball at the creature. The goblins' eyes glowed bright yellow before exploding into flames and leaving nothing behind. The entire room was filled with thick smoke, and the smell of burnt hair and flesh followed shortly after.
Suddenly, she heard a notification. [You earned 5exp points.]
"Huh?!" Eli gasped in surprise, then looked she heard a notification.
"So I can also earn experience points by simply killing monsters?" Eli asked herself in excitement. "Uh, how do I open that status window?" she asked herself, and to her surprise, the status window instantly appeared before her eyes.

"W-What's divine eye." She asked, but because she couldn't find any explanation, she just shrugged it off.
Eli stared at the status window for a moment before looking at the hole in the roof that was created by her fireball. She knew that she had to enter the tree house to continue exploring the dungeon, so she took a deep breath and jumped inside.
Inside the tree house was a massive goblin holding a huge sword on his shoulder. He growled menacingly as he noticed Eli's presence.
"Graah..." The goblin spoke with anger and hatred dripping from his voice as he glared at Eli with one eye closed while he held his blade over one shoulder.
Eli looked at the creature who stood over two meters tall before her while thinking, 'That's a fucking goblin?!' she wondered and placed her hands on her daggers.
The goblins stood there staring each other down without moving. After a few moments of silence, Eli moved first. "Let me guess...Goblin knight," she remembered the note saying that the dungeon's boss would be a goblin knight, but it had no detailed explanation of how the creature looked like.
"I wonder what's his weakness." Eli muttered under her nose.
Suddenly, another notification popped out.
[Using divine eye. - 5 mana points.]

"Fire... This guy doesn't have much fire resistance," she noted. 'And piercing attacks.'
