Ana was frozen, her body unmoving as her mind dysfunctioned and every bit of sanity left her.

Ana's heart caught between rapid beats as her world spun on a different axis. The air around her seemed to stop as the atmosphere transformed into an electrified current that crackled between them. Time itself appeared to hold its breath as she felt Valerian suck harder against her skin.

They locked gazes and Valerian let go of her neck. "Are you alright?" He asked as he wiped the traces of blood from his lips with the back of his hand.

Instinctively, Ana raised her hands and punched Valerian right in the face. Valerian tumbled backward from the contact. "What the fuck, sunshine?!"

"Wh-what did you just do!" Ana stuttered her face turning red as she brought her hand to her neck.

"I can't let you die!" Valerian told her seriously.
