บท 56: The Lady In Black, Part Forty-One

As the orc's massive club came crashing down towards Zenith, she braced herself for the impact, steeling herself for the inevitable blow and shielding Emi with her body. 

But just as the crushing force of the weapon seemed imminent, a blur of movement caught her eye.

In a sudden flash of realization, Syneris materialized beside Zenith, her invisibility fading as she darted forward with uncanny speed.

With a swift motion, she slashed at the orc with her dagger. A streak of red followed the path of her blade.

"Huh!?" Someone yelped. "Who is that?"

"I-I don't know, but she's pretty good!"

Without even looking back, Syneris continued drawing its attention away from Zenith. 

The orc roared in fury as it turned to face its new adversary, its attention now squarely focused on her.
