Time seemed to freeze,
Heaven and Sloth stopped for a minute, casting their gaze toward the Eastern Sea, a chill ran down their spine as a piercing stare met their gaze.
The two hurriedly cast their eyes to the ground, afraid of drawing the attention of that fierce stare.
Star Constellation's mouth remained agape, evidently prepared to consume another macaroon, but the revelation of Fang Yuan's ascension stunned her so hard she couldn't move.
"Wait! Why can't I move!" she screamed in her head.
The macaroon began to slip out of her fingers, as she could no longer apply a strong grip on them, just as it fell out,
"Hmm? A macaroon? Where did these come from?" a male voice could be heard from behind Star Constellation, who was still unable to turn, but her ears would never deceive her.
"It can't be…this voice.,."
The man grabbed the falling macaroon before it hit the floor, his movements to the outside observer were neither quick nor rushed. But instead methodical and graceful, as if he knew the macaroon would wait for him to catch it.
"Oh? These are quite nice." the man took a quick bite, surprised by how close they resembled his home's macaroons.
This man was none other than,
"Fang Yuan!!!" Star Constellation screamed this time her voice letting out as she leapt from her chair and turned to catch Fang Yuan snacking on her macaroons.
Countless Killer Moves were launched, all designed to slow down Fang Yuan's thought processing.
Star Constellation then activated all the suppressing Battlefield Killer Moves she had hidden in the area were activated.
Chains of light burst from the ground, they contained the power of Space and Time, and were able to imprison just about anyone, even another Venerable!
Even in his prime before ascension, Fang Yuan would have been in slight trouble entering such a well-prepared and executed trap.
Keyword, before.
"I meant for these to restrain Heaven if he lost control or to force Feng Jiu Ge's hand but I guess this is an even better use case." Star Constellation began relaying with her other allies, plans and countermeasures to fight against Fang Yuan, assuming the worst.
But when the dust settled, Star Constellation witnessed a sight that replaced her greatest nightmare with the scene before her eyes.
The chains upon contact with Fang Yuan, withered to dust, and even most of the Immortal Gu used to make the battlefield Killer Move died.
"My time is limited, and I have no care for whatever farce you have going on here, the rules of the world are kicking me out and even I can't delay it."
Fang Yuan turned his back to Star Constellation and waved his hand, in a single motion the entirety of the Peaceful Soil Heavy Fortress Mountain disappeared, and with it, all its residents.
"What did you do!" Star Constellation snarled, she wasn't talking about the disappearance of the Peaceful Soil Mountain, but that time around her had seemingly frozen!
Knowing she was in no way capable of fighting Fang Yuan, she sought to gain information and buy time for Red Lotus to figure out something was wrong…
"Don't bother," Fang Yuan casually replied as he leisurely strolled away, "The rules and foundation of the 5 Regions are too fragile, I couldn't kill you, without destroying the entire 5 Regions, even if I wanted to."
"So let's end this here, you win, it's a draw." His back was now completely gone from Star Constellation's view, though she tried her hardest to keep track of his simple, and seemingly slow movements, in a few steps he was gone like a ghost.
"Ciao." was all that was left in the wind.
Time resumed quickly after,
Feng Jiu Ge and Earth were confused to see Star Constellation seemingly teleport out of their seat when seconds later Red Lotus appeared in his full Infinity form.
"Where is he!" He cautiously looked left and right, and everywhere in between, "I sensed an immense and terrifyingly profound Time and Spatial distortion.
Star Constellation slumped back down on her chair, and took out another plate of macaroons, "Save your breath he's gone, we've failed this mission."
"Then what do we do now?"
"The only thing we can." Her face turned solemn, "Pray."

Far above the 5 Regions, in the land of the ascended.
"Old Prime we can see into the 5 Regions again!" the voice of a tough rugged man made its way across the Ascended Plains and into the ears of a sage-like old man, with long flowing white hair and a horsetail whisk.
Naturally, it was Primordial Origin and Reckless Savage,
"I know." he calmly replied, "This means he has either failed or succeeded, judging by my daughter's expression it's the latter."
"HAHA," Reckless Savage's laugh was more like a roar, "I knew those little punks couldn't stop him, he's this Emperor's chosen target after all, how could anyone but I claim the kill!"
"*Sigh*" Primordial let out a deep sigh, "And how are you going to prevent him from hiding his clones somewhere safe, and growing another Dao Emperor candidate amongst his clones?"
"That man is pursuing the path of Eternity like that mad man Limitless." Primordial rubbed his temples, "As long as there is chance toward Eternity that mad man would leap for it, and now that Limitless is also in the picture, with the Sin of Pride, who knows what crazy plan he has set up, do you even think of these things at all?"
"Nope."
"..."
"..."
"*Sigh*" A deeper and more exhausted sigh rang out across the entire Ascended Plains, "Maybe I should work with Fang Yuan to kill you instead."
"You and that greenhorn team up to kill me? Ha, you're welcome to try. That is if you're unafraid of getting stabbed in the back, I picked him not for his brilliant mind or talent but because that man can only trust one person; himself!"
Primordial Origin wanted to let out an even deeper sigh but he was beyond defeated at this point, "Let's get this over with."
