[Ussually people keep the history of the world alive because something valuable like a sense of worth is attached to it, like how Americans say their country is founded on freedom of speech and liberty, or they say it's a good way to learn from our past mistakes. The story of Ren Zu is clearly odd, reminds me of the bible of my world, 'In the beginning'. However, Ren Zu is clearly not a religion. It doesn't ask for worship, it simply states history. Maybe I was wrong, maybe it is just a fairytale that someone powerful wants to spread, but that doesn't make sense either!]
001 started lamenting about his past, at first, he was adopted by a rich family, but woop-dee-doo they turned out to be hosts of an underground child fighting arena.
{The Orphanage}
In a run-down room with six beds, is a child sitting on the floor, reading a book.
Three people walk in, one the dean of the orphanage, with a rather round body.
And a couple, one with a large build, a beard, and a suit, the other a refined beauty.
She notices the child reading the book.
"Hi there, we can be your new parents! Aren't you excited!" ~ After seeing no reaction, she looks at his hands covered in scars. ~ "I think this one's broken, it doesn't talk!"
The owner quickly steps in. ~ "No, no, no, he's just shy, watch!" ~ He leans in closer to the kid and whispers ~ "Talk now! Or no food for a week!"
"Oh wow, cool, I have parents! This is the best day of my life!" ~ He says sarcastically.
The dean raises his arm to slap him in the face, the husband quickly reaches to grab the arm, but then a baseball crashes through one of the windows causing both of them to pause for a moment.
The Dean then bows to the couple. ~ "I apologize for his rude behavior!" ~ He then turns to the door and hurries out of the room to punish whoever made that baseball fly through the window.
"Um, ok" ~ The husband watches him leave, then walks over to 001, bending down to look into his eyes.
"Wife, We'll take him!" ~ With a big grin plastered across his face. ~ "I'm gonna teach you how to be a hunter!"

[That was the Worst/Best day of my life!] ~ He walked into a run-down shack, found a bum living in it, killed him, then tossed the bum to a random rank-1 Gu master, along with 20 primeval stones, and said "Deal with this for me".
Sitting in the lotus position he started to cultivate, While this shack was run down, and at night it would get cold enough to make the tips of his toes turn blue, he didn't mind.
As a matter of fact, he had killed the last person that was in this shack 3 days ago.
To him, since no one owned this shack, it technically belonged to whoever wanted and could protect it, he also needed a place farther away from prying eyes, it made him feel more at peace.
After cultivating a while he sighed, ~ "There has to be a faster method!"
He wasn't wrong there are plenty of faster methods, but a backwater village like this one wasn't going to have them.
