In the recovery room, Valerie sat on a chair, watching Damian who remained unconscious after undergoing surgery due to severe abdominal injuries. She was deeply shocked, unable to speak other than crying and continuously praying for her husband's well-being, even abandoning her plans to surprise him.

The day felt incredibly dark, like a nightmare, and regret arose for not telling him about her pregnancy. She continued to gaze at her husband, shirtless with medical equipment attached to his body, indicating his fragility.

"If only I had told you when you called, maybe you would have come home sooner... Perhaps the outcome would have been different," she thought to herself, tears streaming down her face as she held his hand. "I promise not to tell anyone because you deserve to know first...
