"What do you mean by that?" Damian asked with his eyes slightly wide.

Valerie bit her lower lip, as if nervous but kept her eyes fixed on Damian's gray eyes as if she was searching for the truth there.

"Honey..." Damian held Valerie's hand. "Have I gotten a second chance now?" He asked enthusiastically as if he had a good feeling.

Slowly but surely, Valerie nodded.

"Really?" Damian immediately widened his eyes with a smile.
