บท 163: Strange occurrence at the fields

Bai Yun walked out of the city gate. He was on his way to the latest attack site when he ran into the city lord.

"Look who is here. I didn't think that I would see you out of your store." The city lord said with a smile.

Bai Yun smiled back at him. "I heard about the attacks on the fields. Thought I might investigate a bit." He said.

"Well, it seems we are on the same errand. I was on the way to check out the latest attack that was reported this morning." The city lord said.

Bai Yun frowned when he heard this. "The attacks have been going on for months now. Why the sudden interest? What changed?" He asked.

"The scope of the attacks." The city lord replied with a sigh. "We just found out that the damage that was done last night was three times bigger than any before. So now we are going to see what had changed."
