“I-I-I… I plead guilty! It was all my fault and had nothing to do with other people!” Abigail said the moment the Elders came back with the verdict, and it caused another commotion to rouse among the crowd.

My eyebrows shot up as I looked at her.

Why did she suddenly change her mind?

Realization dawned on me when I saw Lina and Shawn’s dark expressions.

Did Abigail say that so they wouldn't be implicated?

Hah, at least she wasn't so stupid as to let an Alpha go even though the said Alpha was ready to throw her under the bus.

Once the Elders heard her confession, they had another discussion but came out with the final verdict in just a few minutes.
