"Your husband and son? Sera since when were you married."
'Hm? I think I know that voice?', thought Weis as he waited patiently.
Steel's brow twitched for a split second, before his face was expressionless again.
"If you wish to know. We had our wedding 5 years ago. 2 years after mother died."
"Ugh. Sera. You still haven't forgiven me. But that is okay. So let's look at your husband and son."
Weis and Steel sat next to each other and waited stoically for their foe. Sera came back to the livingroom, followed by a large figure. Black beard, black hair, white marine coat and glasses. Weis stared at his grandfather.
'Yeah no tarnation way. Are you kidding me?'
In came Sengoku the Buddha. The Fleet Admiral of the Navy walked into the livingroom. With a sharp gaze he was looking in our direction. First to get scrutinized was his father.
Steel sat calmly and let the gaze wash over him. Without a change in expression he greeted Sengoku.
"Nice to meet you. My name is Edel Steel, the Captain of Baterilla and husband of your daughter. Welcome to our humble home, Fleet Admiral Sengoku."
"Mm.", nodded Sengoku.
The sharp gaze began to soften as he observed Steel. Large, muscular and good looking beard. Sengoku nodded, with his calculating steel like gaze.
Then the gaze shifted to Weis.
"Hello, grandpa. My name is Edel D. Weis. Nice to meet you."
Seeing his grandfather watching him made Weis nervous, but he sat still, without a shift in expression.
His grandfathers gaze was not the kind a grandfather should have. Scrutinizing and caculating. The gaze of the Fleet Admiral. Weis was starting to fidget, as he was getting uncomfortable under such a strong gaze.
"So you never come here and now you look at our son like that? Great. As expected of my father."
Sengoku turned around and found himself infront of the demon queen.
"Sera, you know I only have my job. It is so important that I neglected my family, you. I will look at whoever they are with a *THUMP*...gaze however I want?" *THUMP*
Weis looked at his father, who struck his knees with his palms.
"Now that the greetings are out of the way, we two are going to the yard. How dare you make my wife unhappy and cry and look at my son with those eyes."
A vein was starting to throb at Steel's temple, as he stood up. Sera who had started the demon transformation halted, and returned to normal. Now there was a small smile on her lips.
"Please don't destroy the island, ok?"
"Gehehe, don't worry, my love. Now father in-law, let's go outside.", said Steel with force in his voice before he started walking to the door.
Sengoku was a little suprised it seems, because he reacted only two seconds later, when Steel was almost at the door. Throwing his daughter a glance, he sighed, seeing her smiling at him and started walking to the door.
Weis watched this unfold, still in shock internally by who his grandfather was.
'Well, now I can guess that the timeline I am in, is almost the same as in the anime. I mean Sengoku doesn't look much different. But who would have thought that the Fleet Admiral is my grandfather. In the anime he didn't have family, or it was never mentioned. But was he from the South Blue? It would seem so. That means, yes this is One Piece, but will there be differences to the anime? Good if that's true. Knowing everything is boring, even if I could remember everything.'
Sera seeing Weis deep in thought, chuckled and walked outside to watch the fight.
With Weis in deep thoughts, he missed the fight, because once he woke from his pondering, he saw his father getting treated by his mother, with big bruises on his face, but a large smile on his face. Sengoku sat nearby and was sulking.
Suprised and sad he missed the fight, Weis stood up and walked to his grandfather.
"Grandpa, you are bad."
And with that said and under the suprise of all the adults, Weis jumped up and punched Sengoku in the right cheek.
*PACK*
All were stunned. Sengoku's eyes widened. How could his grandson punch him like this.
Sera watched with a shocked look on her face.
Steel on the other hand burst out laughing, shouting 'That's my boy'.
"You made mama cry and now you hurt papa. I don't like you. Oh. And you looked at me funny."
Weis made this statement with his hands on his hips and his face raised up to look at his grandfather.
Sengoku wanted to say something but remained silent after hesitating.
"But you can help me with something. Then I can forgive you as a first step."
"Hm? What is it. Grandpa will help. Of course, of course I will help. Now tell me. What is it, eh, Meis?"
Weis wanted to roll his eyes but held it in.
'We just met and he had a fight with papa, so I can forgive him with the name. But regarding mama, grandpa will need to work for forgiveness.'
"I found a Devilfruit on an abandoned boat. You will tell me what powers it has. That will be the first good task you do.", declared a little boy rightously.
Steel and Sera looked at each other. Their Weis was so smart.
After pondering for a second, Sengoku said one word only, in his slightly rusty voice.
"Deal."
Sorry was sick. Not happy with the chapter but I can't concentrate right. Feel that this chapter is rushed and totally not what I want, but I can't put my finger on it. Just feels off, idk. Maybe my imagination?
