บท 27: chapter 26 Preperations
Gavin looked at the noetikon masters. "That is a pretty vague plan." Master Sunrider said gravely.
"I know, but the more I interfere the more vague my visions become. A single throw stone may not effect the reflections in a pond too much but a landslide will." Gavin answered.
Speaking to the noetikons for a while longer Gavin then left to consult with SAM on some of the other projects what Gavin had in the works.
"Gavin, I have updates on the main projects you started and on the research you wanted me to do concerning this coming threat." SAM stated.
"First here is a list of habitable out of the way worlds for you" SAM said displaying a galaxy map. Certain planets were highlighted in green others in red. "Tython, Taris, and Dantooine would prove too close to the Republic to act as secure bases. The Nexus in Dark Space in the middle of the unknown regions will be ideal but we have a long time before it is ready."
"Ach-To would be useful but limited. I recommend it as a starter base. Hoth is another option for a small base, perhaps a listening post or armory."
"Abandoned platforms on bespin have proven useful in the construction of Project Excalibur, Project Gladius, and Project Loginus. These platforms could continue to prove useful but due to their proximity to settled systems would be dangerous to keep using for sensitive projects."
Gavin nodded. "I figured that, and Ach-To will be a good starting location for the initiative. See if we can't secure some spacecraft discretely till we are able to get our own staryards built and oprational."
"Secondly Project Odysseus is almost complete. When the virus is finished it will allow you to seize control of a ships systems and any electronic device attached to its network, including Droids."
Gavin nodded waiting for SAM to continue.
"Project Excalibur has it a snag, certain materials and engines are not found in the current galaxy and we need to explore replacements," SAM paused before continuing. "The Thanix cannon is being custom built. But we are having trouble finding replacements for the Javelin torpedoes. We are also javeing difficulty with forging the Silaris heavy ship armor. We have found a gas giant that can provide us the diamonds needed but it will take time to crush and install them."
"On the plus side we are pretty sure that the concept of the Cyclonic Barrier Technology will improve shielding 300 percent over what most shield would accomplish."
"Project Gladius is completed, a small shuttle with two forward facing blaster cannons and one side mounted machine gun."
"Project Longinus is nearly complete with the armored vehicles being ready. However there is an issue with durability. We don't have any solutions at this time but we are researching it."
"What about Project Enhance?" Gvin asked.
"Promising but getting the biotics to work with the force instead of Mass Effect fields is proving difficult. It will take some time to notice any lasting results."
Gavin answered "then we will have to be patient. What is the status on the research you were able to conduct?"
"Only recently was I able to gather sufficient knowledge on the subject." SAM said
"34 BBY Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi and his Padawan Anakin Skywalker went to investigate Vergere's disappearance, all that they discovered was that an unknown race of biotech-based aliens from a distant place and armed with weapons that the planet's inhabitants had never seen before had attacked the world." SAM paused before continuing "there are also rumors of a Mandolorian team that discovered an unknown ship, thawed it from ice and were annihilated by plasma but that remains unconfirmed."
Gavin tha ked SAM before figuring out his next course of action. Until the virus was ready he wasn't going after malevolence's sister ships. "Well I can always fall back on my favorite past time messing with the sith." He decided before he noticed his communicator going off. Op3ning the communicator he was greeted by the worried face of Anakin.
"Ahsoka has gone missing." He said worriedly
