บท 1: I am Madara Uchiha (rewritten)

Note·EMS means Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan.

·MS means Mangekyō Sharingan.

After a mentally exhausting day at work yesterday, he lay in bed, determined to catch up on sleep since it was the weekend.

"Patriarch?"

"Patriarch?"

He yawned without moving, a fleeting thought crossing his mind: 'Did I forget to turn off my laptop?'

Recalling his failed attempt to watch Bleach, he presumed he had fallen asleep due to exhaustion.

As the voice persisted, growing louder, despite being annoyed, he couldn't help but be impressed by the sound quality, and most importantly, the laptop's insane battery life. Reluctantly, he got up to close it, only to find a maid standing in front of him.

'Wait, who is she?' he thought, puzzled.

"My apologies for the interruption, Patriarch," the maid said, "but the Senju Patriarch wishes to speak with you."

Confused, he wondered why he was being called Patriarch. Then, upon hearing 'Senju,' it clicked.

'Is this a dream?' But he quickly dismissed the thought, doubting his luck to see such a sight in his dreams, especially in a kimono.

'Wait, I'm an Uchiha?' he wondered, noticing an Uchiha emblem on the back of her kimono when she bowed down.

"Is something the matter, Patriarch?" the maid inquired, worried she might have offended him.

Trying to make sense of the surreal scenario, he asked her to entertain the Senju Patriarch while he freshened up.

Unfortunately for him, he had no idea where the bathroom was, leading to a humorous 'treasure hunt' where other maids were too scared to point out after seeing his face. After a while, he found the bathroom labeled in Japanese, a language he mysteriously understood out of the blue despite failing to learn it despite watching anime all day.

Staring at his reflection in the bamboo bucket filled with water, he was taken aback.

'I... am Madara Uchiha?'

He was in disbelief.

From all the people he could have transmigrated into, he found himself inhabiting the body of the final villain of Naruto.

Madara Uchiha, the Ghost of the Uchiha!

Initially, he thought it was a misunderstanding, as his life couldn't possibly be so fortunate as to transmigrate into the story's main villain, which had strong potential to prevent misfortunes in the world.

Believing the person was a lookalike of Madara, he wanted to confirm by seeing his dojutsu, as unlocking MS was rare. If he did have MS, there would be no MS with the same design.

Activating his dojutsu seamlessly, however, he noticed a pattern in his eyes. He indeed had MS, rather EMS, and not only that, it was exactly like Madara's.

Yet, skepticism led him to splash water on his face repeatedly, seeking the reality of his situation, still not accepting it.

'Nothing. Nothing. Nothing...'

After several attempts, he had to accept the incredible truth even if he doubted it: he was indeed in the Naruto universe, embodying Madara Uchiha.

"Hey, how are you feeling?" Hashirama inquired, concerned upon hearing from his maid.

Madara was a diligent shinobi who typically trained at 6 am, so waking up at 12 pm was a common sign of illness for him.

"I'm fine," Madara replied, though the awkwardness in his voice was palpable.

An awkward silence ensued, neither quite sure how to bridge the gap in their usual camaraderie. Madara, grappling with his new identity and the lack of knowledge about previous interactions, found himself at a loss for words. Hashirama, on the other hand, sensed something amiss but couldn't pinpoint the cause.

Breaking the silence, Hashirama shared news that would ordinarily stir any clan leader of the village. "Today, the Hyūga clan has decided to join our village."

Madara's eyes widened, remembering them as descendants of Hamura alongside the Kaguya and Hagoromo clan.

The thought of managing these relationships and the potential for more clans to join their cause weighed heavily on him.

"Madara, you're unusually quiet today... is everything alright?" Hashirama's voice pulled him from his thoughts.

"Just contemplating the future of our village," Madara managed to say, masking his inner turmoil with a veneer of calm.

Hashirama's smile, borne out of their shared dream for the village, eased the tension slightly. He took Madara's preoccupation as a sign of dedication, unaware of the whirlwind of thoughts behind his 'friend's' quiet demeanor.

After Hashirama happily talked about his day today, he left with a smile, while his victim wished to give condolence to the OG who listened to every BS he heard.

---

After a couple of hours of familiarizing himself with his new surroundings and pestering the maids to bring him more food during lunch, he was now able to cope with his new realities, no longer feeling confused around his surroundings, but rather felt amazed by it.

He always imagined himself in his SI fanfic where he was exploring the world and taking part in the plot just like any other fanfic writer, despite the workload remaining the same or even increasing.

And as he was a fan of Naruto, he naturally recalled the plot of Naruto and Madara Uchiha, the so-called Saviour of the world.

Unfortunately, it was of little to no use, as the series primarily delves into the timeline where Naruto is born.

The only thing he was confirmed from his interaction with Hashirama and from the maid was that the village was formed a few months ago, and neither the name of the village nor the concept of Kage had been decided yet.

In short, he found himself transmigrated into the most peaceful period of this world, inhabiting the body of one of its strongest shinobi.

Realizing he had hit the jackpot, he was thrilled. Although he wasn't exactly the wealthy man he had envisioned himself to be in the past, as the Patriarch of one of the strongest clans, he now possessed both wealth to enjoy and power to protect himself from any threat.

However, there was an unprofound dread crept in his heart when he recalled Hashirama's words.

'I need to assess our alliances and the strength of our clan,' he quickly thought, turning his attention to the strategic landscape of the village, as in peace, politics flourish to a disgusting level.

---

"Greeting patriarch, I-"

"Hand me the scroll," Madara commanded, sparing no time for formalities.

"Yes, Patriarch!" The messenger complied, bowing deeply.

Madara unfurled the scroll, his expression turning into a frown.

'There are eighteen clans besides the Uchiha,' he noted, the list including notable names such as the Ino-Shika-Cho trio clans, Sarutobi clan, Shimura clan, Hatake clan, Senju clan, Ryūchi clan, Uzumaki clan, Aburame clan, Inuzuka clan, Izuno clan, Kurama clan, Onikuma clan, Hyūga clan, Fūma Clan,Yūhi and Hagoromo clan.'

'The first 9 clans mentioned are allied with each other while the later three are only allied to Uchiha, well this is at least what we managed to confirm.'

He was not surprised by clans that were included in the alliance of Senju and Uchiha, except for the Yūhi clan.

He was somewhat impressed that the Uchiha clan alliance was able to compete with the Senju alliance despite the numerical difference, but the positive impression ended when considering their influence in the village. Hashirama was bound to win in the democratic poll that would soon determine their Hokage.

He had backing from his clans alongside Ino-shika-cho clans, the three elemental specialist Sarutobi, Shimura and Hatake clans and backing of their sister clans like Uzumaki clan and Ryūchi clans.

Though he was not sure who the later clan was, Ryūchi clan were referenced to use senjutsu naturally yet need good control to utilize it, he guessed it was the clan Jugo descended from, given his body function similar to Ryūchi clan sage bodies, which might have descended from Ashura.

Well their ones are imperfect, but this at least proves they descend from Ashura based on his deduction.

Anyway, the realization of the political dynamics at play began to sink in. Understanding the odds stacked against him, he, now as inheriting Madara identity, dismissed any fleeting hope of becoming Hokage, sending condolence to OG Madara to foolishly consider ever becoming Hokage in the first place.

'In war, the quality of people and equipment matters, while in politics, the number of people qualified to speak matters,' he mused.

Based on Uchiha reputation, it was near impossible to contact anyone bring their alliance except the barbaric Kaguya clan.

However, it didn't mean he would sit back and watch.

He knew for sure that filthy Senju Tobirama was going to screw him like in the OG timeline in one way or another regardless of how positively he complied with Hashirama and him as a whole, so letting him win would be detrimental.

With that in mind, Madara began to formulate his new plan.

If he couldn't claim the title for himself, then it's okay. He will just make the position ceremonial.

"Come here," he called out to the messenger, a plan forming in his mind.

"Yes Patriarch!"

Looking at the timid boy, he almost broke in laughter to see that this messenger was Kagami, who was still a child.

From eyes to nose and even his mannerism was similar to his idiotic grandson, Shisui in anime when he was 12 where the only thing that set them apart was their hair.

Madara also wondered whether Baru, Naka, Rai, and Naori were present in this timeline.

Especially since wielding MS implies they have enough strength to activate it in the first place; otherwise, any Uchiha who witnessed a loved one's death during the massacre would have obtained MS and the fight between Danzo and Sasuke would favor Danzo.

"Patriarch?"

"Ah yes…Instruct the Hagoromo clan to extend an invitation to the Kaguya clan to join us in Konoha. And gather all the children in the compound, including yourself," Madara instructed, setting the wheels of his plan into motion.

"Yes Patriarch!"

Madara couldn't help but be amused by the sight, imagining Kagami as Shisui, his stupid, brainless grandson. But anyway, he fixed his posture and waited for the future bearers of MS.

---

Sensing multiple chakra coming his way, he began to rehearse his lines.

He was no actor, but the situation did recommend one.

As the room filled with the sound of approaching footsteps, Madara braced himself for the pivotal moment ahead.

"Greetings, Patriarch!" The group of children, ranging from the tender age of four to the brink of adulthood at seventeen, bowed in unison, showing respect to their clan leader.

"Rise your heads," Madara commanded softly, his tone carrying the weight of his new role as their patriarch. As they looked up, their eyes filled with anticipation, he began to address them, his voice echoing through the silent chamber.

"You all must be aware of the peace our clan has achieved after centuries of conflict due to reconciliation between us," Madara said, sweeping his gaze across the room, capturing the attention of everyone present.

He paused for a moment, letting the gravity of his words sink in.

"However, there is a saying my father once told me before he passed."

"Maintaining peace has a price. Remember, bad times create strong men, strong men create good times, good times create weak men, and weak men create bad times."

"Just because the Senju are no longer our enemies, it doesn't mean others won't threaten us, threaten the peace in which we wish to live."

The room was silent, the children processing the wisdom in Madara's words. Some nodded in understanding, while others seemed to grasp the concept for the first time, a new sense of responsibility dawning on their young faces.

"So from today forward, I, Patriarch of the Uchiha clan, have decided to increase the quality of the training of our youth so that they may meet their potential, willing to entrust our clan's future in your hands."

Madara continued, "To ensure our clan remains strong and ready to protect our peace, I have decided to enhance our training program, to entrust and shoulder the future of our clan."

The announcement was met with a mix of emotions—excitement, apprehension, but above all, determination. The children, recognizing the importance of their role, silently vowed to rise to the challenge.

Madara then turned his attention to the five, after all, the whole performance was made just for them.

"Kagami, Baru, Naka, Rai, and Naori, you five have shown exceptional promise. You will be entrusted with additional responsibilities to aid in the day-to-day affairs of our clan and contribute to the clan's growth."

The chosen five bowed deeply, acknowledging the honor and the burden placed upon their shoulders. Among them, Kagami's eyes glistened with a mixture of pride and resolve, clearly indicating his understanding and acceptance of Madara's vision.

'Yep, he definitely doesn't look like a Uchiha.'

As the meeting concluded, he had planted the seeds of strength, unity, and responsibility in the hearts of the young Uchiha, though his gaze was only fixed on the five.

---

At the Senju compound:

Everyone was enjoying newfound peace, spending time with their family members.

Instead of training endlessly just to survive, toiling their body until death, they were now leisurely strolling along roads and gossiping within their homes.

Except for one silver-haired fellow, who was feeling tense after hearing a conversation from his elder brother.

'What was he planning all night to cause him to wake up at 12 pm?' thought Senju Tobirama, the Great Racist.

Tobirama refused to believe Madara did it because he was lazy.

Tobirama had a strong gut feeling that Madara was planning something, as he was reserved today in their conversation.

Out of paranoia, Tobirama decided to hold a 'meeting' tomorrow to uncover Madara's plans.
