Lounging in his office chair, Samuel Kade opened the system store, where he discovered he had accumulated 300,000 system points.
Seems like a lot, right?

Ding! "Host, you have one lottery chance remaining. Would you like to proceed with the lottery draw now?"
Just then, the system's voice suddenly chimed in.
"Lottery!" Samuel Kade responded without hesitation. He had nothing better to do and figured it would be a good way to pass the time.

So after leaving the Underworld, Samuel Kade had never bothered with Shendu.
However, due to their unique connection, Samuel Kade could occasionally sense Shendu's soul screaming in agony, but he didn't care in the slightest.
He thought that as long as he didn't seek out Shendu, they would have nothing to do with each other.
