"And what do you mean by that?" Jennifer demanded, her stern stares fixed on Stephanie's face.

She tried to read Stephanie's expression but no matter how much effort she puts in, she wasn't able to guess what was going through the young lady's mind.

"Nothing serious... it's just that Irene left the resort with the newly turned vampires for their daily hunt...,"

"But that is not part of her duties. Irene has far passed that stage... besides this is not our former home where we were surrounded by bushes so how on Earth is she gonna take them out for hunt...,"

"I am not Irene so why are you asking me that?" Stephanie cut in. She released the hands she had folded behind her back and stood properly.

"Also, why do you give me that expression... it's as if you are suspecting me of sending her away...,"
