บท 18: Chapter 18 The deal
"No, I'm not going. Both aunt and uncle are very strict with me. I won't go there." Sasha muttered, pestering Daniel endlessly.
Daniel didn't answer. He had made up his mind.
Seeing she couldn't change Daniel's mind, Sasha adopted a new strategy, starting to sob in fear.
Chloe already felt dizzy because of the noises Sasha made. Now hearing Sasha's sobbing, she got more impatient and compromised, "Stay if you want."
Chloe regretted the moment she blurted out.
Why did she meddle in their business? Besides, without Sasha here, she would be happier.
Thinking of these, Chloe lost her appetite.
"You are the hostess here, and you can decide on this." Daniel smiled, "Thanks for taking care of my cousin. I am too busy to look after her."
Now Chloe had to shoulder the responsibility to deal with this disagreeable girl.
Not so easy!
After breakfast, Chloe rushed to Daniel's room, "What do you mean? Why should I take care of her?"
Daniel was changing into his shirt when the door was suddenly pushed open. He turned around, showing his naked and muscular chest and sexy abs.
He was really so hot!
Although Chloe had seen him naked before, her face flushed again at this scene.
But considering her task here, Chloe withdrew her gaze reluctantly and said, "Anyway, I have no obligation to take care of your cousin. I came to tell you this and goodbye now."
Then, she turned sharply, ready to escape. But Daniel grabbed her on her wrist and pinned her against the wall. His body felt so... warm.
Daniel looked into her eyes, his breath softly on her face. Every erotic thought just ran wild in Chloe's mind that her ears turned red suddenly
"Why leaving so fast? You have seen me naked and then you want to run away? Like you did last time?"
Last time? Why did Daniel still remember what she did to him when they were in the hospital?
What a petty man!
Chloe couldn't help wriggling to escape from Daniel's arms.
"Let go of me. I am leaving." Chloe pretended she was angry, but in fact, her voice was so low that it looked like she was flirting with him.
"Take good care of her, and I will deduct ten million from your debt to me. Deal?" Daniel whispered to her ear in such a seductive way that Chloe felt her heart racing like hell.
But ten million! That was really a fantastic deal to her. There was no way for her to refuse.
She nodded immediately, "No problem. Can you let go of me now?"
With a chuckle, he stepped back.
Now Chloe finally got some fresh air and took a deep breath. After calming down, she turned to Daniel and said seriously.
"But I have some requirements." Chloe put forward them clearly, "Your cousin's so disagreeable and I think you already know that. So if I teach her manners, you can't intervene. Neither can you interfere too much with my business, especially not protect her against me."
Daniel promised with a nod, "Do whatever you like."
He just felt so lucky that Chloe was willing to deal with Sasha for him.
After they made the deal, Chloe still felt uncertain about this, so she reached out her fist and said to him, "Let's conclude the deal with a fist bump."
Daniel paused for a moment and did as she said.
As their fists touched, Daniel suddenly had a strange feeling towards Chloe. But he didn't know what that meant.
While outside the door, Sasha was hiding there. She wanted to speak to Daniel and accidentally heard what Chloe said. Holding grudge against Chloe, she snorted coldly and left gloomily.
Later, Daniel left for his work.
Now there were only Helen, Chloe, and Sasha who rested her feet on the table and played with her phone.
As Daniel left, Sasha feared no one in the house. So she ordered many takeouts and deliberately made all kinds of noises.
Chloe was helping Helen wash the vegetables in the kitchen. She tried to avoid too much contact with Sasha in the living room.
But Sasha who had stayed in the living room for a long time and then felt bored took the initiative to come to them.
Looking at the water splashed on the floor, she frowned, "What a mess you have made! You can't even wash the vegetables properly."
Her words were obviously provocative but Helen didn't reply. Chloe told her that no matter what Sasha said, she could just ignore Sasha.
Ignored, Sasha felt more furious after recalling what she heard in the morning. So she sat down to start the fight.
She cleared her throat and mimicked, "So if I teach her manners, you can't intervene. Neither can you interfere too much with my business, especially not protect her against me... I didn't expect someone to speak ill of me behind my back."
Chloe raised her eyebrows, feeling surprised at Sasha's eavesdropping.
"I did say that. As the hostess here, I just did what I should. I guess you won't mind, my dear cousin?" Chloe put down the vegetables and stared at Sasha.
Then, she stretched out her hand across the table and held Sasha's hand with a smile on her face. "Sasha, it's also my first time to be a hostess. Logically speaking, I'm your sister-in-law. But you haven't called me that. Maybe you should show me some respect. How about starting with changing your address now?"
A moment later, Chloe gently let go of Sasha's hand. She rubbed her hands secretly under the table. That was a strong handshake and she spared no efforts.
While Sasha wanted to break away from Chloe the second her hand was caught. However, Chloe was unexpectedly strong and Sasha's hand was slightly red now.
Noticing Chloe's happiness, Sasha's face darkened. "Miss Chloe, do remember that you haven't legally married my cousin. Therefore, I don't think you deserve my respect. So if I refuse, you won't mind either, will you?"
Chloe closed her mouth, smiled politely, and nodded.
"Besides, I know very well about Daniel's taste. I'm telling you that you will never meet his standard. So if you are smart enough, you should leave as soon as possible." Added Sasha.
The smile was gone as Chloe heard this.
Sasha feared if she had gone too far. But what's done was done and she definitely wouldn't step back. She thought Chloe dared to teach her manners and she wouldn't just leave her alone so easily!
At noon, Sasha didn't come out for lunch.
While later in the afternoon, Daniel suddenly came back, looking a little anxious.
Chloe was sitting on the sofa watching TV. When she saw him, she was surprised, "Why are you back?"
"Daniel! You are back!" Sasha rushed out of her room and ran directly at Daniel as if he was her savior.
Daniel moved back a little when Sasha tried to hug him.
Seeing this, Sasha stopped, seeming to realize it was inappropriate.
Then she pursed her lips, "Daniel, did I do anything wrong? Or Miss Chloe doesn't want me here? She hasn't talked to me or even called me for lunch. I am starving... "
